I love this product for doing double doors. Compared to other brands , safety first is so much more durable, better made, and sturdy. It gets the job done and does work! Safety first brand has never disappointed and I would recommend it for all needs!
These cabinet slide locks truly give you peace of mind when your child gets old enough to travel around. These are very simple to use. They work on a slide and lock system that is to complicated for a child to work but easy enough for an adult to simply maneuver. These are strong and made of plastic so your cupboards do not get scuffed up during pushing and pulling. These fit both knobs and handles up to 5.5 inches apart. These are just perfect!!
These are really great quality slide locks. They work great on keeping our twin toddlers out of the cabinets where regular safety locks can not be permanently installed. The slide locks are made of high quality plastic and are easy to install. The brown color matches our furniture so you don't even notice them that much. My twin toddlers can't open these locks so the contents of our entertainment cabinets are safe now. They are also easy to remove without damaging the furniture and can be reused. An easy solution to keep my kids away from my cabinets! I recommend these slide locks!
I am a first time parent of a 9 month old who has just started to become mobile. I also keep my 2 year old nephew at my house during the week. We all know that little ones are experts in getting into things they should not be messing with in just a matter of seconds. Installing this cabinet safety lock gave me peace of mind that all of my harmful cleaning products were out of reach! I also like the fact that this safety lock does not require any screws, which can damage your cabinets. The one flaw I found with the lock is that it still allows the cabinets to open just enough for fingers to get smushed or pinched. All-in-all, I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to secure their cabinets without having to drill holes.
I used the product for securing cabinet doors in the kitchen. These do serve the purpose, they are kind of large in size and don't have a nice esthetic appeal. Moreover, I was worried that the rough terrain might scratch the door knobs; although i haven't observed that. Overall, they are sturdy and secured the doors well. My son is strong, but he could not open them.
Safety 1st Cabinet Locks are well made products. They are made of heavy plastic that hold up well. They slide easily and are easy to use. The only downside is they didn't fit on the cabinets I was hoping to use them for. Our bathroom cabinets are very close together, the knobs are probably an inch apart. The locks did not fit on these knobs. They were too close together. It would be nice to be able to snug up the lock closer. Despite that I would reccomend these!
I use the cabinet lock from safety first on my bathroom cabinets I have grandsons that are 5 years old and they are curious. This has been a great product to use to keep them out of things. The only thing I didnt like was the way it was designed I dont have handles on my kitchen cabinets so was unable to use them on those cabinets.
I have a toddler who loves to "help" around the house and discover all of the things in our cabinets so this purchase was a must. I really love how easy these were to affix to the cabinets and how they are not a permanent fixture (as we are renting while we are out of state) so they cause no damage to the cabinets themselves. They are easy enough to open too when you need to use the cabinet. My main recommendation would be to MAKE SURE your cabinets have knobs otherwise these will not work!!! You'd be surprised at how many cabinets don't!
These cabinet lock slides were okay but they didn't hold up to the competition. I noticed that the ends were very sharp so they actually hurt when I was trying to slide them open. I did like the brown color because it matched my current cabinets. I had never heard of this product before from this particular company so I was very curious to try it. I just didn't feel like they were as well built as others I have seen. Based on the quality of this product I wouldn't buy it or recommend it to any of my friends.
This is a basic problem that seems flimsy, but is actually just very flexible plastic. I was surprised that the plastic could bend as much as it did without breaking. That is a good sign that at the very least it is a durable and strong product, for the short time that I've had it is. I think there might be one flaw with the design in that it anticipates that you need the dexterity to push in two tabs and then slide the lock off of the product; however, you really only need to push in one tab (the side without the longer lock piece) and pull on the plastic part enough that it will slide out of the lock. I guess that would be the negative of having such a flexible material. You would need a toddler to probably be strong enough to still push the tab in, but nonetheless I still found that it could be opened without pushing in both tabs and fully unlocking both sides. Something to consider if you have older siblings.
