Noticed that both these detectors say "First Alert" on the detector but say some other name on the boxes they came in. They also say they were made in 2016, and the free AA batteries that came with them were dated 2025. These detectors say they are supposed to last for 10 years before you need to replace them; as I just ordered, received and installed them in Nov., 2023, I wonder how this is possible.
Package came and looked like it had been on someone's shelf for years. Pat
