Really happy with these shoes, bought them about a year ago and I use them everywhere. From urban parks to hiking trails, I never loose my footing or get tired achy feet after hours of walking.
The past 2 years the hiking/trail addiction took over. In the 2 years I have been on the hunt for a shoe that is light, fit well, and is sure footed. Finally, after 40 to 50 mile weeks, this is the shoe I have been hunting. The design has helped to counteract some of the sore knees, the lightness of the shoe makes rock hopping more predictable, and the shoe is comfortable.
This my 2nd pair of MQM Flex shoes. I have loved both pairs for everyday wear and hiking. The first pair took me to Arches National Park for a week of hiking. The lightweight kept me moving and the material was breathable and cool. Great shoes!
I have sensitive feet. My MQM Flex 2 shoes provide me with great support and comfort. On average I walk between 5 and 8 miles a day. This is my second pair, my first pair lasted about 5 months.
Another great product from Merrell. I have owned several pairs of Merrell, but this is my first pair of MQM Flex 2. As usual, the shoes are comfortable out of the box and they are made well. The outsole tread is aggressive and grippy, but they don't hold mud and debris like some shoes. Very easy to clean. Excellent shoes for the trail, and you can run or walk confidently without having to worry about slipping in areas where most other shoes would. Freaking amazing shoes for just about anywhere. Go ahead and order you a pair!
Great shoe, the chunky tread on the bottom can get tore up though. I had a piece come off after the first week but this did not affect functionality.
I own a pair of mqm flex gtx 1's and absolutely love them. I have worn them into the ground and the lugs are totally gone. I was excited to order the mqm flex version 2 but unfortunately, I hate it. It has more of a heel-toe drop and a narrower toe box than the 1st version. The silhouette is also just uglier. If I wanted more padding, I would have bought some hoka one one's. I actually returned this pair and will probably try some salomons or something to replace my worn out mqm flex 1's.
Owned a pair and loved them so much l bought another. I took the to Hawaii as my all purpose every day shoe. Took a bike and hike tour where we rode around and ended at Diamond head then hiked to the top. Foot slipped off the pedal more than once or twice and l am an experienced rider of over 30 years and on the hike I slipped and almost fell at least 6-8 times on the way up and back down! Was not happy with the second pair at all!! Also since they were my only shoes l had to wear them again after the tour disaster and even just walking around Waikiki and some other less strenuous tours the insole slid around inside the shoe so much it actually was higher than the padding around my ankle and all of my toes no longer had insole between them and the inside of the shoe. Crazy!! Like I said l had a previous pair l loved and l will try these again hoping that the other pair was a once in a lifetime problem! But for this pair I have to say very bad!
My wife purchased these for me and they're already falling apart after my first hike. I lost a lug on one shoe, part of the bottom on another, and the toe cap is peeling on one shoe as well. I've purchased many Merrell products over the years, these aren't consistent with the quality I've come to expect with the brand. Highly disappointing...
Heel box isn't deep enough on this shoe so there's a lot of slippage. Tried lacing them with a runners knot but the location of the eyelets cause significant lace pressure across the top of the foot. Wore one time and they hurt so bad that I had to go back to my old worn out Altalight mids. Very disappointed.
