I'm totally in love with the look and feel of this shoe. The left foot feels great but the right toe area is uncomfortable. I am going to take the advice of another diabetic review I saw here, and try the wider version. I wish the Luna style came in wide.
I love the color, Porter, which is basically a dark brown. Comfort is important for me since I'm in my 70s and want a shoe which is eady to get on and off which this one is. I would recommend a shoe tongue so damage won't occur to the shoe. I'm more than impressed with the comfort. In the past I've owned several pairs of the jungle move which I still like very much but this style I like more. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
This is a very comfortable shoe which I've grown to expect from Merrell. To me it fits perfect to size. I've sensitive feet and learned to go with a wide width. I did that with my original order which brings me to a very important point. These folks have outstanding customer service. They took all the work out of the return with easy to follow instructions and spent a lot of time with me before I placed the replacement order to assist me in determining the best shoe to order for my expectations. The shipping was quick and free. The porter is very dark but after the excellent customer experience and the comfort of these shoes, I'm keeping them to wear this winter for a little dressier look and ordering another pair in Amber Ale for more casual look.
The shoes fit as expected, which for me is about 1/2 size larger than other brands. Fortunately, this is consistent across all Merrell products. I have had many pairs of these shoes and they never let me down. I put a lot of miles on them every week and the comfort and durability are first rate!
These shoes are exactly as I hoped they'd be: well-made, very comfortable, wonderful soles that grip. They are also very good looking. The stout color is versatile in that it will pass for black. I've had numerous styles of Mocs and these are my favorites to date. I also have them in the brown color as well. Happy customer.
I always hate to order online, shoes are not built exactly same. They vary from style to style and from country of origin. That said, these fit perfectly and needed almost zero time to break in. I was a little disappointed in my last Merrell purchase, as the sole material wore out fairly fast. These seem a better choice and I am tempted to order another pair right now.
These shoes look great. Nice leather and stable vibram soles with good traction. They are definitely a bit tighter than the half dozen pair of size 10 Merrells I have here. With light socks they are still very comfortable. Prolly should have tried a 10.5 or a 10W but maybe they'll stretch out a bit with use being real leather. Also could use a pull loop, especially being a bet tighter. For that matter, all Mocs deserve a pull loop.
I've been wearing Merrill moc's for some time now. I work on concrete floors and am fairly active. The only complaint always is the quality and effectiveness of the inserts. They are always thin, not very comfortable and always require buying a purchased more springy insert.
These are one of the only VIBRAM products left in Merrell's general-wear line, which is the reason I buy them. The outsole makes a huge difference in comfort all day long. This iteration is easy to get on and off even with the "heel slam" technique, and provides good support throughout the day. One thing: they run VERY small - I am a 10.5 in every other shoe, but a straight 11.5 in anything Merrell makes (I also own a pair of their hikers.)
Look the fit, looks of this shoe. Only complaint I have is the back of the shoe is collapsing and it is not even a month old. These are a slip on shoe but am unable to do that because I have to fanagle it on so the back of the shoe (padding) just slip down.
