Great boot for a wide forefoot. Doesn't pinch my neuromas. Used them in Vermont and Adirondacks. Kept my feet dry without being hot and sweaty. Excellent traction.
Greatest boots I have ever had. Comfortable from the moment I tried them on, awesome all the way. They were troopers on a 17 day hiking trip, and I could not be more happy with my purchase
I love these hiking 🥾 boots. They give me confidence to go on trails and even cross brooks because they are waterproof. They are so comfortable.
As always my new Merrells fit and feel fabulous. As these are “extra sets” I've only worn them briefly indoors, on carpet. But they're identical to the set I have on - and which prompted this purchase, and the next - so they've been placed back in the box. And set on a shelf, for when my current pair wear out. Or when winter comes. As that's when I'll require the waterproofing they have. Merrell shoes and boots have been my go-to source for well over a decade now. And as I approach age 70, I see no need to look elsewhere. I've found what best suits me. So, Merrell, unless you do something stupid - like sellout to some foreign entity, or begin using cheap, inferior materials, employing poorly paid workers for production, etc - I'm sticking with you til my last breath. Literally. I can't think of a better endorsement.
Waterproof, warm and comfortable. Fit just right. Usually hike 7 to 15 miles in them…
I bought these for my 16 year old son. We did about 70 miles with the boots right out of the box. He said they felt like his upscale athletic shoes. While we had plenty of issues on our first big backpacking trip, the feet were not one of them. The boots exceeded expectations. They were comfortable, handled all the terrain and made it through multiple streams without letting a drop of water in.
Third pair of Merrell hiking boots. They have always felt broken in when I put them on. The last pair of Moab mids lasted for 2 hunting seasons in NE Nevada with many miles of rough hiking on them. This was after wearing them for casual every day shoes the year before I started hunting with them. I still use them for out door working. They are well built.
I am on my third pair of Moabs. They are the perfect day hiking shoes. I wore them right out of the box and hiked 10 miles on them. They are THE brand if you have wide feet. The waterproofing works well for stream crossings with boulder hopping. I wouldn't do the narrows in them, but they are more water resistant than I expected to be. Would b 5 stars, but laces were subpar and tore easily within the first two days of wearing. Had to replace them on the trek.
I wear these every day working on a vegetable farm they started to fall apart after a couple of months.
Well I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in Merrill Moab's. This pair is warranty replacement for another pair of Moab's that started peeling off at the toe in less than a month of easy wear. This pair didn't make 2 weeks before the tounge holder loop came out of the top and looked like it never got stitched in. That's not a deal breaker but quality control is obviously not very good. It really surprises me to get 2 pair in a row that have issues even if small. I certainly wouldn't take them into the backcountry as I have no confidence that another loop won't pull out when I need to really tighten my laces for downhill treks. Since I bought them for hiking that makes them unusable for that purpose. Most I'll do is wear them around town. They are super comfortable to wear just not durable. Forcing me to wear my hunting boots for training hikes wearing them out instead or these. Kinda sucks my budget just won't allow another different brand to try.
