This is our second time purchasing these shoes for our daughters. They loved their first pairs so much, that we didn't even look for anything else once they outgrew their first pairs. Our girls have done small hikes in our community, to 7-mile technical climbs in these shoes. We love that they are waterproof...just in case you happen to slip into the stream or a puddle. ;) Great shoe! Not a single complaint about fit or comfort! Highly recommended!
After owning many Merrell shoes myself, bought these for my son for the rainy fall/early winter days at school. Fit seems true. He likes that his feet are staying dry on the playground and not having to take boots to school. Great at the cider mills, on the trails and visits to Santa!
Our kids use these for hiking trails and they are great for all around hiking! Waterproof too for those puddles and mud we go through.
These are a great shoe for my eight year old who is always roughing up the toes of his shoes. This didn't happen with the Moab FST and we were elated! Also half sizes are awesome. Laces could be stronger.
Great shoes from the first mile. These did great and didn't even require breaking in. My son struggles with shoes and often tends to walk on his toes, especially if the shoes aren't quite right. However, these were great, and he felt sure-footed all day and had dry feet too!
I bought both of my girls a pair of the kids MOAB FST's for camping and hiking this summer. They love these and wear them all the time. I love the support it gives them and durability in the outsole. This shoe does not wear out fast and maintains its stability regardless of what they are doing . They have told me that this shoe is super comfortable and the waterproof works great!! Lighter weight than some heavier hikers especially for kids and performs awesome!!!
My 6 year old daughter loved the colors and comfort of this shoe; however, after about a month of wearing them, the fabric throughout the top has frayed, and the toe grip connected to the sole has completely come apart from the rest of the shoe, allowing water and grit to enter. As a PNW parent, I love that these are waterproof, but I expected a Merrell shoe to last a year or so, not a month or two.
I bought these shoes for my 7 year old son. He loves being outside and needed waterproof shoes to play in at recess. He literally wore these shoes twice and the second day he wore them he came home from school and the laces on on of the shoes had broke. He was upset and didn't know how it f he happened. These are the first pair of Merrell's I have purchased and looks like it will be the last. His last pair of waterproof shoes were Salomon and they held up so well and never had an issue. Looks like I will be buying Salomon's from now on.
Shoes fell apart the first time my child wore them. By far the worst investment in Merrells I've ever had.
My son has had the Merrell Moab shoes for 6 weeks. This site will only let me post one photo, but it give you a good idea of how they've literally fallen apart. He's only worn them about 4 times per week since he's had them to school only. We have not been hiking or camping with them or sports. He's an active kid, but that shouldn't matter if they were well made. They are not waterproof either. He runs through wet grass and has wet socks. Needless to say I'm very disappointed in these shoes. Definitely didn't get what I paid for. His Asics and New Balance are much better shoes and about the same price. Save your money on these. I can only imagine how horrible they would be on our backpack and camping trips.
