My hiking boots are very comfortable. For me they ran true to size. Loved the colors too.
Did not buy this color, didn't want to spend the extra, but i have 4 pairs of Bravada's, one I wear for doing physical labor, one is waterproof, the other 2 I rotate. My favorite shoes i have ever worn
I have plantar fasciitis and Merrell's are the best shoes I own. Wear these everywhere- work and play now. I hope to work up to a 5k again!
Didn't want to take my heavy hiking boots to hike the Trans Catalina trail. So I brought these and OMG, were they the best shoes I could have picked. They are comfortable but feel sturdy, like a boot. The traction is great. My poor friend got blisters and I was just cruising along. Best shoe ever
I use these shoes to walk all over my city (Pittsburgh - lots of hills so the ultra-tread-y soles are great) and do some forest hiking. They hold up, feel supportive, and don't look like grandma's hiking boots! People have asked me if they are running shoes - they have that cool, sporty look to them. They are quite comfortable with the proper socks - I wear Darn Tough cushion micro crews in winter/spring and they feel great. Will transition to ankle-cut hiking socks for summer. As a bonus, I'm a bike commuter and these are great for cycling - the tread on the soles sticks to the pedals nicely but they're nice and light. I would say it took about two weeks of daily walking for them to feel really broken in but they're a go-to now. And no blisters during the breaking in, just a bit of foot and hip soreness while my body adjusted.
Well made good quality and look great. I didn't have to “break-in” before wearing and my feet didn't hurt and only reason 4 plus stars instead of 5 that for me they were alittle heavy but it maybe because I'm not used to these kind of “boots”
At first I was happy with these shoes until after wearing them for less than four months I started developing pain in my left foot and painful shin splints. I sought medical help and had X-rays and a bone density tests and found I do not have stress fractures. I tried different pairs of shoes and found the pain lessened, so maybe there is a flaw in the shoes. Merrell replaced them with a different shoe when I explained my experience. Also, I was wearing the shoes when I had two falls walking down a dirt incline with fine gravel. The second fall resulted in me breaking my arm.
I am a dog trainer and bought these for occasional wear to work for light walking / standing on pavement, grass or dirt, and occasional walking on a fine gravel parking lot. The soles shred easily, as seen in the photos. These shoes are comfortable, but for what they cost, are not worth the money. The photo shows the shredding on the left sole and the shredding on the side of the sole in the shoe on the right.
Don't love. Looking down they are shaped weird. Also not that comfortable. Wish I would have returned. Reviews were raving so I was really looking forward to getting them. The colors are what drew me in.
The metal notch for the top lace came off within a week of having these shoes.
