Excellent shoe for my 13 year old son to wear on a 5 day hiking excursion at camp!
These were wonderful. My 12 year old wore them to Glacier National Park and all week hiking around in Montana. Heard no complaining about them and that means a lot.
I am very pleased with my new hiking boots. I am an adult with very small feet, so these were a good choice for me. I am also pleased at the customer service, since I requested a size exchange and it was processed quickly and with no hiccups.
My 10 year old daughter wore these on several hiking trails during a camping trip out west to South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado. Her feet stayed comfortable, supported, and dry (albeit sweaty!) through every hike. These boots did the trick!
Boots are very comfortable and warm. It's almost like a sneaker boot. Very flexible
Purchased for my thirteen year old son. We hiked Tallulah falls state park, fished rivers and creeks. Boots were waterproof and comfortable.
Good hiking boots for kids. Warm and good traction in snow and icy terrain. Not as waterproof as expected. Water resistant would be more accurate. Snow eventually soaks in through top & sides and my kids feet ended up wet. Recommend waterproof socks if using longer than a short time in snow
A perfectly solid small boot, not designed for anything too hardcore. One big drawback: surprisingly flimsy laces that feel like they were supposed to go on a dress shoe.
Well-made hiker that's comfortable for my first grader to wear. But these are in no way waterproof. Despite the description and small "waterproof" tag on the boot itself, the boot has large portions of mesh - not Goretex, nylon, or other waterproof material. It's not even nearly waterproof but seeps over time. It's literally mesh and lets water through instantly. I'm shocked at Merrell's misrepresentation of this shoe. Always had a good opinion of the brand. No more.
Gave my daughter blisters and proved to not be waterproof with a quick dip of the boot toe slipping off a rock and into shallow water.
