Like another reviewer, I was fortunate to buy the display model as well. Had a gas grill years ago, then went to charcoal and hardwood mesquite (Hard to beat). However, I mostly cook for myself, and the size of this Charbroil grille is perfect, looks great with the stainless cover and easy to clean cooking and working space (use high temp silicone mats on the shelf top next to the burners if placing a plate or pan down) Gas grills have changed! Grilling on this is fast and the flavor terrific. The four casters also work great on my deck. This thing is fantastic!
After spending the last few summers suffering from grill envy (attending BBQs with friends and family), I finally decided to take the plunge and get a grill for myself. As I'm a solo flyer and rarely entertain at my home, there was no need or want for a monster grill. I just wanted something compact but decent quality...that cooks well. I ordered this grill on a Thursday. It was delivered to my office the following Monday. From reading the reviews online, I guessed it would take me about an hour to assemble and set-up the grill. I took the challenge and stepped it up one notch. I prepped some veggies for kabobs - allowing them to marinate for the hour of assembly. The grill was packaged and padded really well. No issues with dents, bends or flaw. The hardware pack was done in a really smart manner. Assembly was a breeze - almost too easy (I kept thinking..."It can't be this easy"). I was done and hooking up the LP tank within about 45 minutes working alone. The only struggle (and very minor) was attaching the top grill/burner assembly to the base unit. That took a little twisting and turning. Perfectly grilled veggie kabobs were on my plate within an hour and a half of starting the project. I'm very happy with the purchase, quality and performance. I'd call this a score....with no regrets. I did ding the review one notch for value as this unit seems a little pricey for the size (compared to other grills). Regardless, for the small families, apartment/condo dwellers, or single households, this is a great find. Real grilling on a quality product.
The grill went together in about 2 hours. Only needed help one time, to lift the main assembly on to the bottom part. The instructions could have been a little clearer, but by taking my time and comparing the product to the pictures, it worked. All of the holes were in the right places, and the nuts/screws/bolts were the proper size/amount. It cooks a little 'hotter' than my old one did, but I'm getting used to it.
We purchased this last weekend and we had been looking for a grill for a couple of years. We are a family of three and felt this was the perfect size. We purchased it assembled and grilled the night we purchased it. Have already grilled on it several times and it worked perfect. Thought the grill space was a little smaller than those over sized grills and would be able to cook for just us or a group. Love this product....
Took me longer than 35-40 minnutes to assemble, more like 2 hours, but I had never assembled a grill before. This is the first grill I have ever owned and it is super fun and easy to use. Love the removable grates, makes clean-up easy.
The directions to put this together were very easy to follow. The grill surface size is perfect for one or two. I had 6 burgers, 2 chicken breasts, 2 potatoes, and 2 vidalia onions on it and had no problems at all.
Ordered this grill online soley on the previous reviews, pictures, and price, plus Walmart had 97cent shipping which you cant beat. Grill was delivered within a few days and it was relatively easy to put together even for a blonde! The grill looks great on the balcony and sits pretty tall which is perfect for me. Those who are petite might not like it since it does sit so tall. The grill fired up right away and was able to grill some salmon the first night, YAY! Definitely recommend for others to buy especially for those who are single and wont be grilling for a whole family.
Just bought this today and first impressions are good. Should work just fine for my family of 3. Was the last one in store set up already for demo. 4 stars overall because I havnt used it yet. 4 stars for Value because it does not have a warming rack in it... however there is space to place a wire rack ontop. It should fit with the door closed. My main reason for buying this is it was the right size for a family of 3. Budget being a main issue for me, so i found the cheapest gas grill that had a thermometer on it, and wasnt uni flame. For the price, this is nice. BBQ charcoal was going to waist. And i was tired of waiting 30 mins just to cook for 20mins. It is not recommended to use lava rocks but it does say you can use wood chips. You will need a smoker box or in my case, a small pan. It is light wait and does have 4 wheels but they are small, was not a problem on my deck with 1/4 inch spacing in between the wood. I'll report back later after I use it for awhile ... if I remember :)
I shopped BBQ grills for a month and could not find the right quality or size in a small gas grill. This Charbroil grill is a sturdy little stainless steel BBQ with all of the extras of a big one. Don't buy it if your looking for a big cooking surface area or more than 30000 BTU. For the price and size, this little unit performs well. It is great for small patios or small outdoor living spaces.
to whom it may concern, my name is jay Reagan. I purchased this type grill about 2 years ago and when purchased,it was great! after 4 months of weekend use it started rusting.i have replaced the burners 3 times and always kept it very clean and stored inside shop when not using.i am not complaining about the grill but looking to try another brand like weber
