ive had this for 5 years. its the best one ive ever had. it heats up fast. its not made for to thick hair. its a one inch. for thicker hair try a two inch.
I LOVE this flat iron. I've purchased an inexpensive iron in the past, with disastrous results. I have thick, coarse, curly hair, and this product worked great on my hair. I blow dried my hair somewhat straight and then used this to smooth it out and it worked great. Got nice and hot, very quickly, and glided across my hair smoothly. You don't have to spend $80 to get a good flat iron; I tried after I read an online recommendation that rated it as one of the best inexpensive irons and I love it!
I have dark hair that I usually keep in a ponytail, so if I take my hair out, it has that little bump. It was hard to find a good straightener, and this works perfectly. IT WORKS SOO fast.
Ok, first let me tell you this- my hair is thick, wavy, tends to frizz, and is hard to manage. I have to straighten it every day for it to be presentable. This flat iron does not work on my hair. If you have hair like mine, do not waste your time and money on this product. If you have fine hair that already pretty much does what you want it to, than this product will probably work well. However, most people who purchase flat irons do not have hair like that.
I had finally went and got the hair cut I had been wanting for months, and I was so excited to shop for styling tools that I could use on it. I had it layered and wanted a flat iron to flick the ends out a bit. I decided on this one at the store, took it home and opened it up. The first time I used it, it worked great, I was so pleased! Today(the second time I was going to use it), I plugged it up, turned it on, and nothing. So, I went into another room, plugged it up, waited, and waited and waited and NOTHING! The thing worked great one time, and then it went out on me, and I paid more than the online price for it, so I am NOT happy. Now I have to go out and spend more money on another flat iron. I ended up looking up other reviews that weren't on this site, and I couldn't believe the amount of bad reviews, wish I had found them before I bought it. My advice? Run far, far away, do NOT buy!
