I got this Aveeno Absolutely Ageless under eye cream because now at my age that is one of the first places showing signs of aging and just plain moisturizers are not doing enough to protect that very sensitive area under my eyes. Also I have inherited dark circles, puffiness and fine lines from my mother. It was inevitable but it started showing a little earlier in me than in most. I also have bad allergies which contribute to and intensify the looks and signs of aging under and around my eyes. Also including those dreaded crows feet. I don't wear makeup or concealers anymore because they only make the problems show up more and look worse. I was using another brand of under eye cream and have tried many, but they really didn't seem to make a difference. None that I could tell anyway, so I decided to try this Aveeno under eye cream because I have had so much luck with other Aveeno products and they are also hypoallergenic. Since I already have allergy eyes to go along with aging I don't want something that's going to have any adverse effects and this product doesn't. I have only been using this product for about a week now but it seems to be helping. The smooth texture is nice and it does not irritate my eyes as some other products have done in the past. Due to my allergy eyes, they sometimes itch, water and get puffy. Since using this Aveeno under eye cream, the puffiness doesn't seem to be as noticeable.
I am so glad I was given an opportunity to try the Aveeno Absolutely Ageless Under Eye cream because this was not a product line I have ever been drawn to in spite of its marketing campaign. However, I was pleasantly surprised with its results. I am 46 years old, and while I don't have too many issues with fine lines (yet!), I do have some fine lines underneath my eyes and suffer with the occasional puffiness under the eye. This product claims to combat fine lines underneath the eyes, wrinkles, and improve the appearance of crow's feet, as well as reduce dark circles and puffiness under the eyes. Let's see what the product can do. The cream itself is thick and glides on quite nicely with a little dab using the pinky fingers. I did not find this cream to be greasy at all, so it didn't cause my make-up to run underneath my eyes as some eye creams can. I noticed that it absorbs quite well and absorbs quickly without irritating the sensitive skin under my eyes. The cream didn't seem to have any type of fragrance, and it didn't burn the corners of my eyes, which always seem to be a dry, irritated area for me (my eyes seem to tear up regularly). I found this cream to be rather soothing for those irritated corners of my eyes. What I found interesting about this product was its ability to smooth out the fine lines under my eyes and reduce puffiness almost instantly. It was the morning after the Thanksgiving week-end that I decided to take a before and after photo just to see if there were any changes detectable by my camera since we can often believe something is working when it isn't, or alternately believe a product confers no benefits when it actually does. Fortunately, I don't wake up every morning with puffy eyes, but the morning of this photo, I did - and it was very painful to see in a photo! I was truly amazed at the reduction of the puffiness under the eyes (and it wasn't my imagination!), as well as the reduction in the appearance of fine lines. While I cannot attest to its results on crow's feet (because I don't have any), I can attest to a reduction in under-eye puffiness and fine lines. Trying this product definitely makes me want to check out other products in the Aveeno line.
I am always a little skeptical when a product says it will help improve signs of aging. I am not someone always looking for the best product that promises to help wipe away wrinkles! So I've put the Cream to the test. I've used it for 2 weeks, every morning and evening and my skin feels very soft and has a little more elasticity than it previously did. I can't be completely positive, but I truly don't notice any less wrinkles or crows feet, than I started out with. However, this Aveeno Eye Cream does feel really nice when I apply it around my eyes. It has an Active Natural Blackberry Complex designed to help the skin look young and healthy. I am giving the Eye Cream 4 Stars, it made the skin around my eyes softer and not quite as tight as usual. I will continue to use this Cream to keep the area around my eyes a little softer and a little more supple.
The Aveeno under eye cream did show a slight change in small lines under my eyes and softened the deeper wrinkled but what I liked the most was the hydrating effect it had on my eyes. They felt less tired and puffy when I used it. Mind you i did not use this every day so it makes me wonder how well the wrinkles would look with consistent use.
The aveeno absolutely ageless eye cream works wonders. I do not generally wear makeup so I could clearly see the difference. But you definitely could layer this underneath makeup if need be. You apply it twice, morning and night. You only need a little bit to use it. I work overnights so my under eyes are always needing attention. It really helped with the under eye appearance. I have reduced puffiness and dark under eyes. So, if anything, it nourishes under your eye. It has a blackberry complex which helps improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles, appearance of crows feet and under eye puffiness. I can't comment on the wrinkles as I am a bit younger and don't have many yet. It is non greasy and did not clog my pores. I woukd recommend this to others.
I was a bit nervous to try this, because I read reviews saying this left a burning or tingling sensation, on the eyes. Thankfully, I did NOT have any issues with brining or Stinging. I even tested it (for fun) on other areas of my face. I have only had this cream, for a week. I can't honestly say, that I have noticed a difference in my face or wrinkles. What I did notice was that the skin on my eyes is very smooth. The circles seem lighter. The bottle is a little small. The tip of the tube is flat, to allow easy application, to under the eye. My Skin is very smooth!
Although I am in my early 60's, I don't have a lot of wrinkles except light crow's feet around my eyes and some lines around by mouth. I have used this under eye cream for a few days and I just can't see any difference at all. Maybe with prolonged use there would be a difference. On the plus side, I have sensitive skin and unlike some other skincare products, this has not caused me to have scaling around my eyes or breakouts. Although I do like Aveeno products in general, I could not recommend this to anyone else for use other than just a eye area moisturizer.
This does nothing to improve appearance. I'm in my 20s, and I have dark eye circles that require a few layers of concealer to hide. I was hoping that it would help somewhat. It doesn't No product really exists to do that. That being said, this product is not a complete waste. It does feel nice to apply that extra moisture in the morning and in the night. I don't think I would try this product again. I didnt even notice my under eye skin start to lighten up either but since I have it I might as well use it.
I have gone thru my share of eye creams. From high end brands to drugstore brands and have found drugstore brands better. I personally prefer an eye cream that is very creamy and moisturizing. Well this Aveeno eye cream did not provide that. It has no scent to it and the consistency is a cross between cream/gel. When I first put the eye cream I did experience a lil bit of burning. Nothing extremely bad and the burning sensation did go away within minutes. Through out the day the eye cream did become flaky and my under eye area felt dry and not moisturized at all. I don't understand how this could happen if the eye cream is suppose to be "ageless"? I wanted to like this eye cream but it's a big No for me....
This is the first time I have ever tried the Aveeno active naturals absolutely ageless eye cream. The directions say to apply a pearl size amount both at night and also in the morning. It can also be worn under your makeup. The first few days I put this on under my eyes only in the morning. I can't say that I really noticed any difference. So I then decided to also apply it at night as well. Well for me after putting it on both in the morning and at night, upon wakening I noticed that the area under my eyes was quite puffy. I don't normally have an issue with that, so I quit using it. It also tingles a little when it is first applied. I would not recommend.
