These custom orthodics really helped my my aching feet I stand all day at my job and my fiance turned me onto Dr Scholls and I've had no achy feet anymore.
I use the Cf 430 insert in my Hoka's Bondi 8 shoe when playing basketball for 3-5 hours, or when play 3-6 hours of pickleball, and/or when walking 10-12 miles and they help support my foot very well and do a great job of keeping my feet from getting sore and I am 65 years old.
This is not my first time using these insoles, but I was literally amazed at how I could answer a few questions online and still get the correct insole that I would get if I went into a physical store that has a Df Scholl's kiosk. These insoles are amazing!
Short of custom foot mold I'm thrilled, as I have a huge instep but tons of pain in my metatarsal and at 66 I'm back into hiking. I added the 3/4 110 inserts and 95% of the pain has stopped. I still may consider getting foot molds but for now I'm very happy.
I placed my custom fit 340 inserts in the boots I wear almost every day for work. I switched boots one day without switching the inserts. When I got home my feet were sore and hurting. I won't make that mistake again. I'll buy a second pair of inserts.
The arch support is good however had a hard time getting them comfortable in my workout shoes - I pulled up the old inserts but it was uncomfortable but I could not leave them I. Either so I had to cut the old ones and marry them to the new ones…but there is a noticeable ridge.
Walmart kiosk had no wipes nor hand wipes to use before wiping down the pad that one steps on in stocking week, and no wipes to clean hand controls nor too wash hands after touching controls. The box the orthotics inserts come with NO INSTRUCTIONS, and I wasn't sure whether to remove the insoles the shoes cam with or not. I emailed Dr. Scholl's and asked about these problems. They said, Dr. Scholls insoles and orthotics can placed over a shoes existing insole as long as the shoe is still comfortable and does not feel too tight. If you have shoes that the insole is removable you can also remove the insole before adding our insoles. I wrote back on Sept.8 and pointed out the orthotics inserts are only 3/4th food length, so don't I not have to leave in the insoles my shoe came with [or else my toes and front foot pad will have no padding]? I also wrote it's not too tight with the inserts added on top, but now the shoelaces need to be longer to deal with my foot pushed upward at the ankle end of the foot. No response from Dr. Scholl's. I wrote back on Sept. 17 asking for a response, but still no response, and it's now Sept. 19. It's a pretty expensive insert for the low-level of customer support.
I'd hoped it would just support my arch. Unfortunately, it also turned my foot inside my boot. After a few days of use, I experienced considerable pain where my IT band attaches to my tibial plateau. Not knowing the cause, I continued wearing them and the pain continued. I removed them several days later and the pain hasn't returned since.
I have flat feet and play a lot of court sports. I need orthotics that provide support, not just some cushioning. I took the quiz on the Dr. Scholl's site and these were recommended. For me, they are useless - and waaay too expensive to not help. They do provide some cushioning, but no support. If you are in need of true orthotics, I would not recommend these.
Buying these without using a kiosk is not a good idea, the inserts i got caused me morepain in my feet, knees and back than the old ones i got in a store. Not recommended to buy on line
