The whole meal is so delicious I wanted to eat a second one
Finally a Santa Fe Chicken Enchilada... with just a couple of easy additions! I melted an inch cube of butter, added a swig of Organic Great Value olive oil, and sauteed two small cans of Ortega HOT green chili, added the Lean Cuisine entre, covered the sauce pan, then in a bit added two eggs to poach in the sauce. Results? It tasted just like a Santa Fe Chicken Enchilada... Really REALLY good!
Honestly I think you could pass this off like you cooked it homemade 😂 I was surprised at the flavor! One of the best tv dinners I've had.
I seldom buy chicken of any kind but I tried this and was very pleased. It is so tasty and fast to fix. The price is great and worth every penny.
The flavor is okay. But it sure doesn't look like the picture! Also the cooking time is longer than most frozen meals and the edges harden.
Why is it that these Lean Cuisine meals are either GREAT or trash? ... This one is closer to the latter. I see a lot of good reviews but looking over the "date of review" I can see that something changed. A lot of people complained how "it used to taste good". My thoughts... The Enchilada was very bland, the rice was okayish, but that sauce... the dish would have been better served completely dry. The sauce is trash. Honestly, I alwasy buy two of everything I try out, just to be sure I wasn't having an off day, but this was so bad that I struggled to find the motivation to even cook the second one. If I didn't hate the idea of throwing substance away, it would have gone in the trash. AT BEST these are like a 3... I would say they are more like a 2.5 <> MY SCALE <> 1 GROSS <> 2-3 Not good <> 4-6 It's “okay” <> 7-8 Pretty good <> 9 Very good <> 10 THE BEST!!!
This was my first time trying these and I won't be buying again. Bad texture, bad taste, truly awful.
I agree with the person who said they didn't like it since it had been changed. I ate half of it and going to see if my dog wants the rest of it. Last time I buy it. Sorry you changed it.
This used to be my favorite dinner to take to work, but since it has been changed it tastes awful. One enchilada instead of 2. Dry. tasteless, and the "meat" is more the consistency of cat food. The rice is different, the sauce is different, and the enchilada is different. Company saving money at the consumers expense. Won't be buying any more.
This dish is simply disgusting. The rice is undercooked, the corn tortilla turns hard as a rock in the microwave, and I have no clue what is in that enchilada filling, but I hope I never have anything this terrible again. This is NOT as simple as they couldn't make it good and hit the 300 calorie mark. This is just gross. The filling looks/feels like sawdust and has no taste. The half-cooked rice gets stuck in your teeth and it had a sauce on it that looked kind of like a glaze. The only thing good about this was the white sauce on the enchilada. It wasn't bad, but couldn't save that enchilada with the leather wrapper.
