I would like to let everyone know that the Plantronics bluetooth, explorer 242 is a great product, no static, hear very well and it actually fit very good in place. I am very happy with it and i will recommend to any one, there will be no regrets.
I purchased this product because the bluetooth that I had wasn't compatible with my phone, well this one is compatible, a reasonable price, sounds great, very clear, and is a good size...unlike some of those clunky bluetooth headsets. Pretty good buy.
I'm a huge fan of Plantronics products. This headset is easy to use and it's noise canceling capabilities are unmatched.
This is my 1st bluetooth headset and I love it. This device is very light and comfortable to wear! It was very easy to sync and works great with my ps3. The only tricky part was(and this is because Im not a techy person) I had to reconfigure my input/output options on the accessory menu on the playstation.
Got the 242 to replace my worn out 220. It fits my wife's small ears and works fine. I recommend this device to those looking for a low priced Bluetooth Headset.
Replaced my Plantronics 220 I lost while traveling which I was very happy with - unfortunately no longer available on the market. Good for the price @ $30 although now I see it's listed @ $19. Doesn't keep a charge as long as my old one and very sensitive to sounds around you. However I've become accustomed to plantronic bluetooths because they fit the ear more comfortably. Unfortunately it appears that while electronic products are less costly @ Walmart they may be seconds because I find they do not holdup to their workmanship.
The Plantronics Explorer 242 is a great Bluetooth. It has great clarity and the range is really good also.I have found that the set really does hold a great charge.It also is really clear while using outside.'Limited background noise'.I have been real pleased with this purchase.
I thought I had found and bought a good bluetooth, until the person on the other end that I was talking to picked up all the back ground noies very clear. This just does not work for me, because I'm never in a quite place. This bluetooth is good in quite places.
I bought this bluetooth because I heard Plantronics was one of the best to get. Well let me tell you I am very disappointed and will be returning it to the store. I can't hear out of it very well, and everyone I talk to on it complains saying they can't hear me due to all the background noise. Also, its not very comfortable.
I've had a few different Plantronics headsets and they've all been around the same price. I bought this one to replace one that I lost and I'm very disappointed. First, there is a switch to turn it on instead of a button. That made it seem outdated, even though maybe it isn't. It's hard to hear all conversations and I frequently have to push it further into my ear. The worst thing is the complaints I get from people who call me. Even when I'm not driving or in a noisy area they say it sounds like I'm in a tunnel. It's even worse when it's actually loud in the background.
