This stuff has helped with my dry, winter skin and eczema so much. I use this in conjunction with CVS brand Aquaphor to help heal where I had scratched my skin raw. I also take a Benadryl pill to help me not scratch at my skin as it heals. A potent mixture for tough dry areas!
I have dry skin and I use this formula on my hands and feet and it is wonderful. Keeps them soft, even the heels of my feet. It is getting harder to find in the stores so hopefully, it is not being discontinued. I don't know what I would do without it.
I take care of a toddler and this is what she uses and I really like it, it is very moisture and you skin feels so nice and smooth after using it
I get that awful dry skin itch every winter. This year its been worse than ever - especially my lower legs. I bought this cream and applied, right away I felt significant relief - after about an hour I could tell the cream had really "soaked in" to my skin and the itching was significantly less. I should have bought this a lot earlier. Anyway I highly recommend!
Recently I had weightless surgery, then a repair surgery the next day, both requiring multiple bandage dressings and each dressing was taped in place then replaced several times a day. By the time I left ICU for the 'regular' floor I was a mess of welts and rashes from all the different kinds of tape the nurses tried to help relieve the allergic reaction I was experiencing from the medical tape. Then upon moving into my new room on the non-ICU floor I found a tube of aveeno skin relief overnight cream left by a previous occupant. I hesitated to use what was not mine but the first night, once again waking myself up by scratching I was desparate. I grabbed the tube and slathered my torso and everywhere I could reach, literally within minutes I felt relief. This Aveeno skin relief is the key to my sanity as I recover from major surgery! Three and a half weeks later I still wake up itching as my scars heal and every time, Aveeno soothes the itchy scratchy sensations away! Thank you so much! I use this product daily and my wife uses it ocassionally to relieve severe skin dryness conditions. I need it even more when I travel. The problem is that when traveling by plane the standard tube is too large for allowable carry-on creams. Is there a smaller tube, that complies with TSA requirements for carry-on? If so, is the smaller tube labeled by volume (not merely by weight), as per the TSA requirements? Thanks a lot to anybody who can provide answers.
Estheticians have been telling me I have super dry skin since I was in my 20's. I started using Aveeno Skin Relief Overnight Cream about 10 months ago and I had my first spa in over a year .The esthetician kept commenting what great condition my skin was in! Thank you Aveeno!!
This does help greatly with dry, cracked skin. It feels a little thick and does take some time to absorb. I wish it absorbed quicker, but it does what it says it will do.
I am so frustrated with this product. I bought a couple to replace the old maroon tubes that had run out. It is not AT ALL the same product. I have psoriasis and extremely sensitive skin so I can only use gentle products. Yes it is gentle enough but it doesn't DO anything for my itching skin. My skin itches terribly at night and the old creme worked so well I slept comfortably. This new product doesn't help with that at all and it doesn't even feel any more moisturized than regular lotion. I used to love to use it at bed time so I could get a good rest but this "new" stuff is worthless. I don't know why you would change the formula. It looks like oat is like the 7th ingredient now as it was 1st before. So there is the answer. My Dermatologist recommended something else for the itching. I can't mention it but it is in the isle first aid isle. It has been working well. So unfortunately I have not use for Aveeno lotions/creams anymore. I am so very disappointed.
Why, oh why did you change the formula??? I have very sensative skin which becomes red, puffy, flakey, and itchy when exposed to some make-ups, creams, etc. After several years of searching I found a product that really worked, the last formula of this cream. The redness, itching, and flakiness all healed up. It even seemed to protect from irritants. Within a week of having to switch to the new formula my skin is once again as irritated as ever. This formula does not work! The ingredients may be the same, but the cheaper version with water first is a far cry from the old version. I won't be buying this again.
