I got this Kid K'Nex Group Set for my kindergartener but everyone in the family, including both teens and adults, have had fun with it! The kit comes in a sturdy plastic container with a locking lid, and holds three bags of building components. The pieces are larger than other K'Nex sets for older children, which makes them perfect for little hands as well as for seniors, or anyone that wants to improve their fine motor skills! I love the fact that due to their size, the pieces are lightweight, easy to hold, and challenging without being frustrating. Four large, reversible Correspondence Cards are included with the set that feature a variety of critters to make, just in case your imagination needs a jump start. My kids glanced at them once and cast them aside, which I think only allowed them to be more creative. A set of multi-lingual instructions is also included. My daughter loves to sort the strong, durable plastic pieces by color, shape, and size as well as count them when she is hard at work building a masterpiece! She creates her own entertainment while pushing the boundaries of her imagination! I love that Kid K'Nex is both educational and fun. It's sure to provide many more hours of quality time with the family, both young and old alike!
My kids that are 7 & 4 are in love with this toy! It is not challanging for my 7 year old (which I'm not suprised because it's stage one) but it is too hard for my 4 year old by himself. They are having a lot of fun making the animals! This kit came with instructions that are easy for kids to use; it's pictures, so they don't need help with it. There is a good amount of building parts in this set. They can make a few different animals at once. My kids are really loving playing with it and are excitedly asking for the next stage set so they have even more parts to play with:)
Wonderful building set for kids and the adults to play with too. Comes in a nice plastic box that is easy to get open and easy to get all the pieces back in the box and close the lid. Very good for hand coordination and easy to connect the pieces together for a little bigger hands. I could see some of the little ones having problems maybe getting the pieces connected totally. Comes with pictures that you can copy or can just use your imagination. Has many different sizes so you can build so many different things. I can see my grand daughters playing with this for hours and having fun and laughing at the funny things they can build. This is an educational toy that you really don't have to read the directions as you can just start putting the pieces together and start having fun. This will keep the imagination going over and over and I don't see it as something that kids would get bored with. I am looking forward to playing with this with my grand daughters when they come to see me. I like that the pieces are soft and easy to handle. There is nothing to cut your fingers on. I would recommend buying this if you have any kids or us big kids that like to use their imagination to build fun things. There is so much that you can do.
My 5 year old loves this set! The pieces are the perfect size for him to handle with confidence- and they're durable, soft, and very bright. Some of the connection pieces took some wiggling to get together, though I imagine with time/use, it'll become easier. The cards are helpful for following along and building suggested animals, but there are enough pieces to let the imagination run wild.
This K' nex set comes in a very sturdy green tub. It will definitely last a very long time and I love that it comes with its own storage. The pieces are a lot bigger than the regular K' nex I buy for my son. I chose this set for my 3yo daughter since she is constantly fighting with my son over his. They are the perfect size for her little hands. The pieces are of great quality. She can put them together and take them apart easily. I absolutely love the 12"x9" 1:1 correspondence cards. These are cards with pictures of some of the different creatures the kids can build using the pieces in the set. The reason I love it is because the pieces in the picture on the card are actual size so the child can build right on top of the picture to make sure s/he is using the same pieces on the card. I work in a daycare with children ages 2yo to 4yo. My group loved using this set and with the quality I did not have to worry about them breaking any of the pieces. The pieces are bright and colorful. I used them to teach colors while building. The Kid K'Nex Group Building Set is great to have in the classroom or home. The kids really enjoyed building their own creatures and I had fun building with them as well.
