I actually had a dream once where I was operating my computer with nothing but a mouse. You can do that with this mouse. The first thing I did was download the update and turned off the ActionLock feature. I use them for copy/paste. then downloaded the auto profiler to automatically switch between programs. With so many ways to configure the mouse it will be some time before I find the best configuration but that's the reason i bought it. I finally can reach both FWD and BACK buttons with out changing my grip. All the thumb buttons are doable including the UP axis on the thumb stick. Programming games will take awhile to figure but starting with basics and adding every now and then and with so many ways to go about it there is lots to learn. The feel of the buttons are all good and the construction is solid. I like the design but it scares my wife (along with the price). PRO: This is the first mouse that FITS my hand. Enough buttons to satisfy my needs. CON: Thumb wheel commands do not work in some games.
The software only covers some buttons for programming. The main issue are the two center auto lock buttons. They can not be turned off nor programmed..they will get you killed. Mad Catz are working on the issue. At the time of this writing they will not give updates nor allow posting on their blog about the issue. Not a good sign. Stay away till/if they fix this issue. For the price payed all buttons should be progammable imo.
