I am writing about Nourishing Lip Color "Claret." It the perfect warmer red color, not too bold, not too flat. With my fair-medium skin tone, blonde hair, brown eyes it is very, very complimentary. It is also not drying. I am 61 years old, and have been blessed with great skin, but the point I'm trying to make is that this color isn't harsh or overdone on me, and I'm sure on someone else in my age group who would like a nice color. Plus I even think my teeth look whiter when I wear Claret. It is my "go to" lipstick.
I hate to say it, but I have this formula in almost all the colors. I love the way they feel and they have the right amount of color. This is all that I reach for when I need lip color. They are moisturizing without drying the lips like most lipsticks do to me. They go on smoothly. I wear them all the time and when I want gloss, I just use the brightening gloss on top. Wow what can I say I think they are perfect.
I'm not a huge lipstick fan, I like subtle colour which is why I love the lip tints, but decied to try this in blush. It's such a beautiful and subtle colour and has the same consistency as the lip tints (glossy, hydrating and easy to apply). I ended up purchasing two more! By far one of the best bobbi brown products on the market
I was disappointed to recently learn the creamy lip color was discontinued. I was using the Blue Raspberry. The new Nourishing Lip Color has Blue Raspberry as well and I like it. The new formula is amazing, it stays on and feels so creamy and comfortable on my lips. I went back today for a softer color - I got Blush with Pale Mauve liner. NEW FAVORITE!!! I will be wearing the Blush as an everyday, all day color. The Blue Raspberry maybe for going out.
I was excited and ordered the Nourishing Lip Color as soon as I was able to. I couldn't wait to try it out!! Admittedly, I was concerned after reading a few reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the tube is smaller than some other lipsticks but that's because you don't have to reapply it constantly. The color stays on for a long time! Another plus is that some long wear color will make your lips feel dry after wearing it work a while. Not Nourishing Lip Color! My lips actually feel soft while wearing it. I've been trying to go out of my comfort zone and chose rosebud and was pleasantly surprised how rich the color was. Bobbi Brown hit it out of the park!! My only problem is which will I order next...LOL
I am so sad this lip color has been discontinued, blush was the absolute holy grail everyday lip for me and so many of my friends. I have incredibly dry lips and love Bobbi's gloss too by this was so nice when you don't want a ton of shine but a ton of moisture. I would pay big $$ to get my hands on this again.
Please bring this nourishing lipstick back! The moment you put it on your lips feel so comfortable, not sticky or super shiny. No need for lipliner, no feathering, just super comfortable color. I have several colors, love them all. Also love the slim case.
This was a nice surprise... I'm always nervous about buying lip color online but I'm really happy with this one (I got the Blue Raspberry)! It goes on nice and smooth and doesn't feel drying. Kind of like a thicker chapstick with more color payoff, without a heavy lipstick look. The Try It On feature pretty much nailed it too!
I've been using the blue raspberry for years and it's my fav and go to color. Was out so asked for and received for bday. I opened it and was like, oh wow. Much smaller. I had the empty tube of last one and it's was .13 and new is .08 for same price! Actually perhaps $4 more. Very disappointed.
I love Bobbi Brown cosmetics and especially love the flattering ooks she creates with the toned down shades and neutral colours. It is actually how real women and not Hollywood satrlets wear makeup. I have very dry cracked lips and thought this lipstick would help with that as well as with keeping the colour on evenly, especially as I don't really reapply throughout the day. This lipstick is much too creamy and smears terribly. The colour does not go on precisely but glides on messily. What a shame.
