I purchased this coat for my son. It has been 50 below zero here and when he got it, he was sooo happy with how warm it keeps him. This is a warm coat perfect for our extreme temperatures. It looks great on too! With Eddie Bauer's guarantee, you cannot go wrong.
Excellent jacket, very warm. Sizing is crazy. I bought an XXL and it's just right because I don't like tight clothes. I'm 5'10" and 240#. Yet I have other older jackets in size large that fit well. Go figure.
This is by far the best jacket I've ever had the pleasure of owning. Initially, I was trying to decide between The North Face, Mountain Hard Wear, and Eddie Bauer for my new jacket. Having lived in Wisconsin and enduring the harsh winters, I wanted something that, despite looking good, would keep me warm. After trying on a variety of jackets from the aforementioned brands, only one of them met the criteria I was looking for; Eddie Bauer. I really cannot stress how well constructed, comfortable and warm this jacket is in the allotted space of this review but would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a winter jacket.
I do love this jacket, the only thing is I wish it wasn't so puffy. The jacket is really warm and I love everything about it, but a slightly slimmer profile would be great.
Recently got this jacket. Fit is great and so far impressed with quality. Breathable so it doesn't overheat but extremely warm in the cold. I don't see why this jacket won't last me years.
I am a 120lb, 5'7" woman but decided to buy a men's jacket in size small. I always have a hard time with sleeve length when purchasing a women's jacket. They are always too short. After returning several others this winter I decided to give Eddie Bauer a try and was so pleased. This jacket is very warm and is very well made. I love it.
Got my guy this jacket as a surprise. I love my own WeathersEdge parka and I've never had a warmer jacket. I was a little concerned about the hood, he doesn't usually like hoods - but this one passed and he is thrilled with how warm it is. We are both Tall, and the length is perfect. Eddie never disappoints.
The fit of this jacket is what is so impressive to me. Being a bigger guy it's tough finding things that fit well without trying them on. It really is better than I could have hoped. The warmth is exactly what I hoped for and the quality is second to none.
I didn't buy it but tried in the store. Everything about this jacket is awesome except for a couple of things. I have two suggestions for the design team. 1. Pleade make the pockets where we insert our hands insulated. The insides of the pockets are nice and soft but they aren't insulated. The whole idea of going for jacket over parka is for less weight and more convenience so insulated pockets makes more sense. 2. The jacket is short in the bottom. Pls make the bottom elastic like how it is in Northface Gotham or in your own bomber jacket. Such a construction prevents any air from seeping inside bottom up. The bottom of the jackets ends abruptly exposing regions for air to enter inside. A closed construction using elastic material will offer more comfort. Other than the two zero complaints. I wanted to go for jacket over parka but the two issues made me choose the parka.
