At one time you needed A prescription in order to get this drug. Now you can get this over the counter. This is the best and most recommended drug for heart burn issues. Walmart sells this drug and sells it for the best price that I have found. If you are A Walmart member and your store is out of it they will have it sent to you free of shipping charge.
I have been taking 30mg of Prevacid per day for ten years for medical reasons. When it became an over the counter drug the over the counter price was so high for my dose that I could no longer afford it and my prescription drug plan did not allow me to purchase it. I discovered that Sam's had it at a reasonable price during a guest pass visit and promptly joined the club.I found out today that it is out of stock and hope that it will soon be inthe store again. It is also out of stock in the next nearest store.
I usually buy these at my local club but they were out of them. I received them very quick by ordering on line.

I was prescribed Prevacid by my doctor over 8 years ago. When it went over the counter I had to take two tablets rather than the one suggested on label. My prescription was for double the dose they recommend on the label. If you are just beginning to take it, I would start with one tablet and if that is not enough increase to two. I can eat whatever I want and I don't suffer with any heartburn during the day. Sam's has the best cost. I usually buy it in the Club but they had a special deal online recently and that is where I got this recent purchase.

Very good product which seems to be the only one which works for my situation-tried others but don't seem as effective as Prevacid
Keeps the uncomfort at bay but not as good as the prescription form.
