I take 3-4 pieces of the performance chews every hour for medium efforts (12-15 miles). For longer ultra distances, I will take up to the whole package every 40-60 minutes. I love to flavors, I love the sleek packaging. The extra boost from the caffeine helps sharpen and refocus my mind for early morning runs.
These are one of my favorite sources of fuel before a long swim. They're easy to pack and eat. They are also my go-to to replenish electrolytes and get a quick jolt of energy when I'm cycling. And of course, they're perfect for a run, too. Basically, they're triathlete food. You can't go wrong with these. The flavor is top notch, too.
The Stingeria Lime performance chews are my favorite calorie/carbohydrate when training hard days on the bike or run. Easy to open and manage, and once open they are easy to consume with one hand. The taste is great, and I love how they don't stick to your teeth. They're the best!
My favorite Peformance Chews flavor! They go down easily even without water, slip out of the end of the package easily, don't waste any space in tight jersey pockets with their packaging design (very important for cyclists and runners), and have the necessary carbohydrates to keep me going hour after hour. My favorite chews by far!
Recently tried these on a long trail run and they were perfect! Kept me fueled well for miles. The mango melon flavor isn't my favorite being totally honest but that is very much a personal thing. Everything else about these exceeded my expectations.
I'm not sure I like to, let alone love it. I'm not a fan of the flavor and don't feel like it performs as well as the older version of the Kiwi Strawberry Caffeine Gels. I'd like to comment on the newest version of the Kiwi Strawberry gels as well. I believe they still work as well as before, however, the flavor is awfully strange. I'm not sure what changed the flavor, but I do know I may not be purchasing in the future. Sorry to leave a negative review, as I've really enjoyed your product in the past.
I purchased the Stingerita Lime Performance Chews with the hope that they would be similar to the old Stinger Caffeinated Limeade Energy Chews. I was a little disappointed and found that these chews are just ok. They work well and give me a nice boost during workouts, but have a strange almost salty flavor? Additionally they are fairly large and have a very firm texture making them difficult to eat while running. They would probably be better for activities outside of running. I've gotten more used to the flavor and texture after a few workouts and plan to finish the pack, but I will stick to the standard energy chews rather than purchasing more performance chews.
On long rides I'll pop 3-4 of these at least half way through before a big uphill climb. It takes my mind off of the hard climb and gives me a boost of energy for the rest of the ride. Sometimes they'll upset my stomach a little - probably the caffeine.
Bought these because I loved the Mango Melon hydration mix so much, and I expected the chews to have a similar tart/tangy flavor. They don't taste the same as the hydration mix. They are ok. Would not buy again, because I like the cherry blossom chews and pomegranate passionfruit chews MUCH, MUCH more.
These are not very palatable. They are squishier and softer than regular chews and taste really artificial. I thought they would be like the caffeinated lime chews of yesteryear, but they are not. I am sorry I bought a whole case as I don't think I'll be eating them anytime soon.
