I used these Creative Cuts Fun Factor Slices or Jelly Roll to make my very first quilt. I have to say this fabric is very pretty and having all of the strips cut out for me made it so much easier for me to sew my first quilt together. I just sewed the strips end to end and then when I sewed all of then end to end I brought up the starting end and the finishing end together and sewed those together. There are lots of great videos on the web that will show you how this is done. It is called The Jelly Roll Race. I made a queen size quilt so it took 4 full packages and 1 extra package that used only a few strips. There is a really good video from Missouri Star Quilt Company that helps you understand how to make this awesome quilt. She put her ends together on a diagonal, but I just butted mine right up next to each other and I think I liked it better the way I did it. I think it is a little easier also. Good Luck and don't be afraid to try. You will never know what you are capable of doing until you try! You won't be disappointed in this fabric. It has lots of pretty colors that go well together. My two favorites are the hot pink with green fliers and black designs, any I like the turquoise color with the white dots scattered with some hot pink dots. I think this fabric n Might be discontinued soon, so get yours now before it is too late.
The package states the fabric is 2 1/2" which is what Jelly Rolls are. It wasn't till I was home and trying to make my quilt work and add another fabric that I realized it wasn't the right width. The fabric is very pretty and I can use it for something else, but it shouldn't state one size and then be another. When I was searching online it says the same thing, but in the product details it lists size and says 2.75 on here. Very confused why it's labeled one thing and described another.
