This is a two-pack for $20. If not available in the store since we're heading out of summer, they're available on Wal-Mart's website with free site to store shipping. These are a bargain. One at Lowe's or Home Depot is $20+. No wiring involved and no electricity expense. The solar panel charges a re-chargeable, included, battery. They light up automatically at dark and they're still lighted at 3:30 AM - that's the latest I've been awake to check on them. They provide accent lighting, and will light a dark area sufficiently to see, although I would not call them security lights. I like the spotlights as they're adjustable. Just stick them in the ground and wait til dark.
we had these for almost 2 years now, never had a problem.as stated these are accent lights, not true spotlights. we have these on the front of our home, and you can get a bit creative with these. and cast shadows from trees and plants that shine on the foundation, gives a more unique look. once a week during the winter months the front of our home gets limited sun. i would remove them(very easy to do) and place them in the back yard to get full sun.then place them out front again.the best part is the neighbors are stating to copy us and get their own spotlights.you can't a better compliment than that.
I bought 4 on this purchase for EMERGENCY LIGHTING after a recent outage that lasted 72 hours after fully charged about 24hours the units are an EXCEPTIONAL Value. A couple of years ago I bought 6 units for outsude security lighting (Note: They are STILL GREAT) just located along the edge of the roof. During the power outage my home was the only one lit for 3 nights all of my neighbors noticed and called and asked where did I get them - you know and I highly recomend buying them for all sorts of useages great camping light it even has aswitch for off. Sau your car has a flat turn the light upside down and rest on the solar unit for a base/ a flash light (more of a spotlight) but it will send a clear sight beam out aproximately 200 feet/ or install along your steps or driveway light up Old Glory. I could not recomend this product Highly enough.
Westinghouse keeps improving their products with brighter and now 2 for $20 is awesome. This item is the brightest yet. Small price lets me buy more to put around my house. Great Product for the money!
Shines more brightly than I thought it would. Only illuminates a relatively small area, but that is all I needed it to do. Actually does absorb energy, even on cloudy days. Can be moved easily, and will probably last forever. Just stick it in the ground, aim it where you want the light to go, and that's it. One of the very few products I've seen that does exactly what it claims it will do. I can't ask for more than that.
Got these at my local store. They've worked from day one. Easy to set up. Just stick them in the ground and they do the rest. Great, inexpensive way to light up a particular spot.
I use my set of lights for night lights toward my front porch, and I think they work great! Not bad for $10.00 (in stores).
It got here quick,it looks great but the lights is not too bright...But it can do the jib...
For solar power spot lights, these are better than some of the others that I have tried, because they are bigger and emit more light than the others. They are in an area of my yard that gets at least 8 hours of sunshine and then when the sun goes down these light up like a charm. If you want to really spot light something you might need to use both of them on the "one" thing you want to spot light, but if you are looking to just illuminate these work really nice.
I'd hoped, for the price, this item would actually light the area near my front door. Instead, fully charged, it produced only a dim glow that extended no further than the brim of it's canister. Even worse, I decided to move it closer to the door and, had to adjust the solar panel for the new location. Upon adjustment, tiny on the solar panel, stripped the hole connecting it to the stem. This left the solar panel loosely hanging by 2 wires, and useless. The light had not been in my yard 2 weeks before it broke and had to be thrown away.
