(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Great movie and great service to walmart too.
Replacement for an old vhs tape.
A must see with the family at Christmas and good for all ages
Great remake paying proper homage to the original from 1947. I grew up watching the original on TV every Thanksgiving when the local TV station would show it and was undecided when this hit the theaters of if I really wanted to see it or not. I finally broke down only because so many of my friends said that it was good. The original is better but only because the bad guys in this film are more characters' of 90s corporate villains' than they needed to be, had they toned that aspect down a little, then I think I would have grudgingly given the movie five stars. I tend to be a purist usually preferring the originals to the remakes because it always feels like the remakes are making fun of the original version of the film, but this one didn't, most of the plot is the same, containing only mild changes, most of it is simply a modernization of the movie in settings and language while still remaining true to the original plot, for that, I got to give it huge kudos. I'll still recommend the original over this, but I'm well aware of the problems associated with getting the younger generations to watch any movie made before the turn of the century, let alone one made 3/4 of a century ago and in B
