I'm a stay at home mom and love to make photo albams and crafts for my kids school this is the bast 3 in 1 I have ever had. The quality of pictures are professional and the color is amazing. To buy ink is affordable on a budget along with the photo paper.
I was pleased to get this product home and begin using it. The seperate 4 X 6 drawer is perfect for printing pictures, without the hassle of changing settings on the printer. The scan & copy feature have defininetly helped me restore some pictures that I had lost back into my computer system. The price of ink cartridge replacement is a definite big plus, especially if you are a scrapbook fanatic like me.
i bought this printer after having read all the reviews, both bad (many more than you see for most products, somewhat scary) and good. well, i have had no issues at all with my 5100 so far (about a month). the software installation did take a bit of time but it went without a hitch. it prints absolutely remarkable photos, and prints regular document output just fine (print quality and output rate). i don't understand the comments you sometimes read about noise, as it seems no more noisy than the dell, epson or HP printers that i have elsewhere in my home and office. the scan function works just fine (and it's simple to use). so far i am very pleased.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this printer.....but I am happily surprised at the great picture /print quality. NO problems to install and I have printed on 5 different types of paper and different weight of paper and its awesome. Even labels (transparent ones) turned out great. I would recommend this to anyone !!!!

I bought the Kodak All in One 5100 about 2 weeks ago. I also had a problem trying to print a callibration page at first, but got it working perfectly in no time. I have used each of the functions of the machine with great success. You can't find a better value for an All in-One than this one. I am very happy with my purchase.
This printer is amazing for the price and if you do a lot of printing or photos it will pay for itself in cartridge price savings in no time.THE PHOTOS ARE LAB QUALITY AND THE PRINT PAGES ARE BOLD.
I purchased the AIO 5100 printer before Christmas and it constantly locks up. I've tried downloading updated firmware and software from Kodak and that helped a little, but it still freezes every 3rd or 4th job. I'm using a new Compaq with Windows Vista that I purchased at Walmart. I've tried to Chat with Kodak, but as you might expect, there is a major communication problem with customer service. They basically said that it was my configuration and could not be fixed. Their recommendation was to load the original CD that came with the printer ... of course that's where I started. If that would have worked, I wouldn't be downloading new software from Kodak. Like I said I'm using a new Compaq with factory loaded Windows Vista. Can't get much more main stream than that. Stay away from the 5100 until Kodak gets the drivers to work with Vista. I doubt that will happen. Like most of you, I depend on my printer. A frustrated customer.
I've had this printer for 2 days. After 4 email exchanges and 3 attempts to fix the scanning function, it still doesn't work. An hour on the phone with tech support didn't yield any results either. To top it off, it prints crooked, to which cleaning the new rollers proved pointless. I'll be taking this printer back to WalMart today and getting another brand. Don't waste your time or money with this printer. Buy another brand.
