I had some trouble with another printer that I bought from Walmart, so I took it back and bought this one. It took only a few minutes to install the software, only a few seconds to hook up the hardware, and the printer works great! The little screen helps tremendously with printing pictures from a memory card and the copy and scan functions actually work better than a more expensive printer that we used to have! If you're buying a printer for a home office or for school, you could do A LOT worse than this one.
If you don't like a noisey printer, this may not be a printer for you. When it warms up and goes to standby, it is noisey, but to print, it isn't. All in all this a great choice. Pictures have wonderful clarity. I did use two different types of photo paper and the one didn't do so well. But the paper that came with the printer did excellent. I like that I can put my SD card in from my camera and just select the pictures I want. It's very convenient.
this is my first all in one unit and so far has performed as promised.we haven't used all the features yet but the photos we have printed have been good.the first copy of anything takes some time and makes some noise but once it starts printing its very fast.
I just love this printer. It's wonderful. Almost like it knows what I want it to do without me having to fool with it much like so many other products. Both pictures & documents come out great. I noticed the previous persons review. They perhaps had poor quality pic paper or their photos were bad to begin with or bad camera or something. I don't know, but mine come out amazing. I start with a good camera. I learned that long ago. Anyway, I especially like the viewing screen on this all in one. Also, you dont need to be hooked to a computer to print pictures, just put your SD card in, & print away. It also takes my little mini card from my cell phone. YAY!! Plus, come on, it's a Canon....you can't think it's going to be junky! Oh, one more thing, the ink is cheaper for the amount you get in the pack as compared to HP. 3ml in HP, 15ml in the Canon ink packs for around the same price. Actually, I think the Canon ink is still a couple dollars cheaper plus has more ink.
You can't go wrong with this printer. It's absolutely the best printer hands-down you can buy for the amount you spend. It prints pretty good pictures (you could do worse). The document scanner has GREAT resolution! The only drawback I found pertains to the refills. The only one you can purchase from WalMart is the black cartridge, and you have to order it online. I would most definitely recommend this printer. I've never bought anything Canon-manufactured that was a piece of junk.
I purchased this as an every day printer replacing an older printer which had a problem working with Vista. I liked the fact it was totally compatible with Vista. It worked perfectly out of the box. Have yet to profile it to work with my new computer. But so far with no adjustments it gives sharp colorful images. Having several Canon cameras .. I like the brand and am sure it was the right purchase.
Takes great pictures. You run out of ink quickly and the refills are around $30.00 each.
Makes great photos, scan and print are excellent. When did it become okay to charge 28.00 for a color cartridge? This is a replacement for my old Canon 4 in 1. I could buy a years worth of color and black and white cartridges for that price! Otherwise great product.
This printer prints excellent photos very good quality. Also, it is very quite and dont take up alot of space with a nice look as well. I have found I was unable to refill the ink cartridges. The ink refills are high the color is like $26 and the black is I believe $20. Overall I like this product because of the excellent photos it printed.
this product prints great. BUT I just can not get over the racket it makes. I previously had a Dell printer, only time I heard it was when it was actually printing something and that was minimal.. but this thing makes a racket just getting warmed up and ready to print.. Prints the item and then I am not sure why but makes even more racket when it is done... "its alive!"
