My neice loves these latch hook kits. It keeps her busy for hours.
My boyfriend daughter is always asking me to teach her how to knit but she's only 6 and I think she's too young. I got this kit to test her patience level and ability to follow directions . The kit itself is GREAT and a nice project. I was out of town when it was delivered so they waited until I got home to show them because the directions were too confusing. I've done it plenty of times but for people that are not familiar with latch hooking the kit should've come with one square completed to give an example of how it should look. Once I showed her and she finally got the hang of it she loved it. I think overall its a very good kit but maybe for 8-9 year olds that are truly intersted in creating something of there own. The 6 year old caught on very quickly after a little practice but it seemed as if she lost interest quickly. She gave it 2 good days and moved on to the next thing. Hopefully she'll revisit it at a later time.
