I recently purchased this to help with some sculpting for a baby shower cake. I didn't use the Shape-N-Amaze Edible Decorating Dough. I used homemade gum paste, and worked great. I was really happy that this helped me so much. This was a great purchase. I plan to purchase another one in the future.
LOVE this sizing tray! Only wished it came with a little brochure of common made or requested 3D figures.... needed to access Wilton site for instructions...
I bougth this tray and I was wondering if this is working with fondant and gum paste, or it's only working the Shape'n'amaze thing??
My comment is about the actual video. The demonstrators need to be aware of what is in their hands and that the audience wants to see every step of the process. At the beginning I was not really shown a good picture of the tray and how it was filled and at the end, the presenter kept the mixed color ball hidden in her hand and did not show us the successful color mix! I was fine if I was blind and just needed to listen but if I was hard of hearing or deaf, I would not have understood the point of the video. Sorry to be critical but on the other hand, the tray looks like a critical tool to have. I will buy one, I assure you.
I love this tray. It takes the guess work out of measuring and my models all come out the same size and the right proportions.
I like the tool, but putting the measurements on the mold would make it even easier.
