These are great, simple long sleeved tee shirts. The material is fairly soft 100% cotton. They wash well. I have for over ten years bought these shirts. They are fairly thick fabric- but not too thick. I've lived and worn these now daily in the Florida Keys and Hawaii where it's warm, sunny and humid. I sweat of course and the shirts are still ok comfortable. I used to only buy white ones, but I'm switching to mint green now. If I feel real hot, when working in the sun or from some strenuous work, I sometimes remember to take my shirt off, put it under a water spigot and get it real wet. Then it is as cool and refreshing as the new mint green color. :-) K2
I love these long sleeve T-Shirts, however the first one I wore came apart at the seam in the cuff area.. Otherwise they are great.. I just hope the others don't fall apart.. Thanks
The T's are made of excellent cotton and iron great. I wear a woman size 4 so I ordered a man's small that fits well. However, the T fixed a little tight in the midsection. Please make the T's more roomy in that area; otherwise, I highly recommend them for purchase, the cotton is magnificent.
As might be expected from the low price, and as seen in many other reviews, the quality control on these shirts is unfortunately nonexistent. My last batch was perfect, if you ignore the excess bits of thread hanging here and there. But I have also received ones over the years -- this is not something new! -- with sleeve cuffs that are WAY too wide, I mean too wide to serve as cuffs at all. Sometimes one cuff on a shirt is fine and the other is oversized, while others have two of the loose ones. Other reviewers have noted the strange neck openings you sometimes get. So there can be issues, but hey, I'll keep buying them even if I have to return the duds, because the correctly-sewn ones are the best and most affordable pajama shirts I know of.
My husband wore one of the 7 long sleeve beefy shirts I recently bought for him online and he literally had a hole in the armpit seem within an hour of wearing the first one! Hoping they all aren't like that!
Quality is always bad. I order more than I need because at least 50% will have issues. Four shirts on my recent order. Both of the dark gray shirts could not be worn. One had a neck with too much fabric, almost a collar. One of the sleeves on the other shirt came unraveled on first wash. They other two light gray shirts fit fine.
I've made two separate purchases for multiple long sleeve tees and on the first washing and the hem of one shirt in each order has completely come undone!
Only last for a day and there is a hole in the pits. It seems like the seams were not sewn properly.
I've been wearing these shirts for years, I buy a few new ones once or twice a year. I received three new ones last week, washed them in cold water, tossed them in the dryer for half an hour, folded them up and tucked them away in the drawer. I put one on this morning, over a cotton tank. I had trouble getting the layers to lay flat and wrote it off to cotton-on-cotton friction. While the coffee was brewing I caught my reflection in the kitchen window and was not happy to see the collar splayed out 2" from my neck. Upon closer inspection and comparison with one of last year's shirts, I noticed a line of stitching missing where the collar meets the shirt. I compared the circumference of the two collars, also. The new is significantly larger. I checked the other new shirts and found them to be the same. Hanes has ruined a perfectly good product! I'll be in touch directly for a refund.
The shirt was very comfortable, but the second time I wore it the seam in the armpit unraveled. I am very disappointed in the quality of the shirt.
