[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this pump for the past year (my son is 11 months old) and I can honestly say that it is so easy to use and I recommend it to any of my bf/ pregnant friends who ask what pump to go with. You cannot go wrong with it! I exclusively breastfeed but since my son started solids I pump to keep up my supply and freeze for a bottle I case I leave him somewhere so this pump has been perfect for us! This round I ventured outside of Madela yet ended up right back with it because there's just not another brand that has the suction strength like this one! I'm a forever fan! I wish the pump hose was a little longer and I wish it came with the the upgraded flanges with the silicone edges. It empties me well and once I got the hang of the different cycles, it really became a favorite. The only downside of this pump is that you need to be on the wall to get the best suction. The suction on the battery pack is definitely lacking. I also love the cushions that come on the 21mm flanges! I received a gift card for my honest review on this product
I got this pump thru insurance and have used it for 5 months now. It is pretty loud so I have to put the pump on top of a soft pad and a towel so it's not super loud when I pump at night. The noise I can deal with, but there's actually a major design flaw. When you plug in the power cord into the pump, there's a yellow plastic ring around it gets pushed in/sucked in as you use the pump. Once the plastic ring is jammed in there, the pump doesn't work any more. I had to dig the ring back out a few times and it's just really annoying. After 5 months it didn't work anymore even when I pull the plastic ring back into position. Had to call customer service to get a replacement. Not sure if I got a defective product or it's just really bad design. On the positive note, the pump parts are not hard to clean and moisture doesn't get inside the tube so that's good.
This pump is terrible if you are a first time mom especially to not know the difference and think your boobs are failing you like my neighbor did! Don't get this pump!!! I nurse a 12months old he drinks 10oz in a sitting so I figured I'd pump using this instead of my other pump just to confirm our suspicions that this pump stink so ! I get 12oz when pumping PER BOOB in about 10min with my normal pump! this pump in style has NO suction (it dose work it's brand new it's like towing a giant boat with a 2cylinder car that you need a v8 pick up to pull) I pumped for 20min and got 1/2 an oz per boob for a total of just over 1 dang oz!!!
