My son absolutely loves this set. He has it set up on our coffee table right now connected to other sets and plays with it daily. The interactiveness of these LEGO Super Mario sets is wonderful and makes it last for many many hours of fun.
Bought for my grandson for Christmas 2020, it was on his list so I am sure it will be one he loves!
Lego is always a quality item, and this set builds on to others. The grandkids were very excited!

These are such cute mario legos fun to build and mario makes the legos come alive. The only bad thing is to get the instructions to build it you have to download it to your phone otherwise you have no direction's.

This set was a lot of fun for my 6year old . Her Favorite character is toadette and peach and this was a good addition to her set. Our only issue was the instructions online
We bought this set for our son not realizing mario doesn't come with it or that you really have to have that piece to get the pieces to work. Once he realized this he decided he was purchasing the required “starter set” with his bday money. The sets are so cute but I hate that lego added reliance on a device to get the instructions. We would be fine with the interactive piece and having the option to see videos of how the assembled pieces work but we like paper instructions and that's especially what I want for my son. Plus it adds a layer of unfair exclusivity to the toys. I also don't like that the app can't be used with children's accounts because location services are required. Lego should be much clearer about all these things. Aside from these things, the sets are really fun to play with and my son absolutely loves them. Really takes playing with legos up a notch.
My son built this set and really enjoys playing with it. We both found it frustrating that there weren't paper instructions or at least a copy of the instructions book for us to go through. The current process the app takes you through is quite tedious. It would be nice if Lego would update the app to include just a PDF of the normal instruction booklets for us to view on each set.
Bought this for our son, not realizing that it requires an Internet connected device to be able to access the instructions. We went to the library (where I'm writing this review) to see if we could access the instructions online and print them out, but in order to get access to the instructions you need to be able to install an “app”. This is a very elitist toy that is excluding the 20 million Americans who don't have an internet connected device. We unfortunately have to return it because there is no way that we've been able to find that we can actually use this set without buying a cell phone or tablet and subscribing to a monthly fee that we could never afford.
