This was given to my eight year son who has been building Legos on his own for about a year now while using the instructions. Once the box was opened and all the pieces were laid out, I think he was overwhelmed and knew that he was no longer in Lego world but in the world of Mega Construx Halo. From the beginning, my son needed help with assembly of the mini figures. The pieces are much smaller than Lego which means the models are more detailed. He had some trouble snapping some of the body parts together and at first didn't quite know where some of the pieces went (such as the body armor). After helping him and figuring out from the instructions and the box, he was on his way to build the Warthog. For the most part, he was able to build by himself with the exception of one component that I had to help him with. The suspension on the Warthog that utilizes the rubber bands were the most difficult. I'll have to admit, even my 46 year old fingers had some difficulty trying to get the bands on. Once that hurdle was passed, it was smooth sailing. It took him about an hour and 45 minutes to finish building the Warthog. He's been playing nonstop for a week now, mostly with the Warthog, Master Chief, and the Marine. When I asked him, what his favorite part of the set was, the reply wound up being the Warthog and the super cool suspension. Now he has been asking for other Mega Construx Halo sets for Christmas. Ok so this toy was a bit time consuming putting it together, my son needed my help putting it together, which was actually great because we bonded and he was following directions along with me. Once it was all put together it was awesome! Imagine his joy when He found out it was a 2 in 1 game!!!!! He loves it and I know will help him use his imagination and play for hours. My son loved this set! The quality and details of it are wonderful! Im impressed with it. This set was definitely a fun build! The instructions were easy to follow and my son enjoyed himself. Id recommend it to any builder who loves Halo and who loves building!
Would recommend to anyone army building the only down side is you would have a million master chiefs

Great figures along with the new warthog, the suspension is very cool and fun to mess with, a great price as well.

My 6 year old was able to put this together quickly. Arrived quickly and is holding up to days worth of battle roll playing. Will be buying another set for second kiddo.
This was my first non-Lego set and I was so surprised with the detail and quality of this set. The instructions and assembly were kind of confusing other wise its a great set.
This is a great starter set for any young child that is a fan of Halo. My son was super excited to receive this toy and couldn't wait to jump in and start putting it together. He could easily read all the directions, and finished putting the whole set up all by himself. The vehicle is very well made and even has shocks on the wheels!
