It was easy to assemble and all of my garden tools are neatly arranged. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
After waiting almost two years to buy something like this, I finally broke down and purchased this item online. We had just moved and downsized from a three car garage to a one car garage (military move) and needed to save as much space as possible. The Rack comes in a fairly small-medium sized box. It only requires one person to assemble it but helps if you have an extra set of hands when attaching the top portion of the bar to the lower portion (unless you lay it flat on the ground). I used an electric screwdriver/drill to get the job done quicker. The top portion of the bar (vertical) leans a bit to the left and is not properly stablized; Our first major disappointment. The attachments that hold the actual bikes, are not very secure either. They wobble each and every time you hang or take down the bikes. There is no getting around this since the pieces are not able to be tightened; they are just pop ins.Try to zoom in to the picture and you may be able to see what I mean. Second, the attachments that hold the helmets are REALLY unstable. They too are not able to be permanently attached and rarely stay put without movement. My biggest disappointment is that this item looked as if it was going to be the most dependable and sturdy, within the upright category of online shopping for Space Saver Bike Racks, and yet it was anything but sturdy. Being that the store doesn't sell them on site, I would suggest doing your homework before purchasing; I thought I had but apparently not. It is rare that I rate any of my online purchases with a low rating; so please do not think I am just a typical disgruntled and negative poster; my goal is strictly to assist you with true facts based upon my sole experience. You may or may not agree with my review and it is possible that someone out there loves this style of Rack. Best wishes with your online shopping and quest to save space!
