I would recommend this product and any Palmer's line to anyone. A few months ago my Daughter (4) and I were at a neighbors house for a playdate. 15 minutes into the playdate my Daughter was jumping in excitement, and fell face first. I was like wait is this happening right now. The right side of her face was covered in blood. I was like her cute little face. AND her cutest little "Birth Mark" is gone forever. I coined that birth mark to symbolize the connection she has with her Sibling in Heaven we loss before her. It looks like a tear drop. I began using this Swivel Stick Faithfully night and day. And sometimes in between. And I'm here to say. My Daughter's face is like NEW. And her Signature Birth Mark has reappeared I've never known that to happen but here we are. Thank you Palmer's for being the #1 Choice in Our Home. My Daughter no longer has those scars as you can see. And for that we are both Grateful.
Just got my new formulazied lipbalm, the scent is kinda smell like vanilla instead of cocoa butter, and the packaging quality is different also:(( and there is no labelling of SPF15 on the new bought lipbalm, so i nt sure whether it gives the sunblock function or not :( little disappointing
Let me start off by saying I love Palmer's lotions. I have eczema and sensitive skin, and their lotion is one of the few that actually work for me. That being said, I had high expectations. This chapstick smells great, and applies well, but about 30 seconds after applying, my lips began to burn. I gave it a few more tries, but the same thing happened. I then washed off the chapstick. I can still feel a faint burning, and my lips are now swollen(see photo). I wouldn't reccomend to anyone with sensitive skin.
I used to buy the dark chocolate & peppermint lip butter and when I couldnt find it anymore, I bought several of the original lip balm sticks. Big mistake! The formula in the lip butter is suggested for extreme dry, cracked lips. The formula in the lip balm is a NO,NO. Too many other ingredients that do not help provide moisture. Why is there a different formula anyway? I miss the lip butter. Please bring it back, with its original formula of course.
I've been a long time customer of the ORIGINAL lip balm. I'm highly disappointed in the new one.The original lip balm smelled good, and was smooth and clear. The new formula stinks and it's gritty and white! Please add the SPF back!! Come on Palmers, listen to your customers and go back back to the original formaula! Now I have to find another brand to use.
I am from Fiji and I've been using the original swivel lip balm for over 5 years now as that's the only lip balm that is able to help my extremely chapped lips. I ran out of the original swivel and was able to find 3 of the new formula lip balms at a pharmacy but after a hour of application my lips started to burn and become absolutely dry. I've been icing my lips and have been applying tons of coconut oil to help soothe the pain. Palmers you have caused me so much discomfort it's actually so sad you let this product reach the consumers without any testing or prior warning. I have no idea what to do and for how long this pain will last, but I hope you are listening to a very concerned and hurt consumer.
I loved the Original formula so much that when I travelled to the UK, I usually stocked a whole year's worth of Palmer's Lip balm. However, this year, to my surprise, the lip balm doesn't smell, feel or taste the same as the Original formula which everyone loves. At first I thought, I bought a dupe or a fake Palmer's lip balm and tried to find out why the color of the lip balm is much lighter than the previous ones I had, the smell more of a fake vanilla perfume rather than the natural vanilla & cocoa butter food smell and makes my lips white after applying it. It also dries quickly and doesn't moisturize well. Anyway, I found out that they have reformulated the lip balm by replacing the chemical sunscreens (octinoxate & oxybenzone) to physical sunscreen (zinc oxide) which explains the color, smell and feel of the lip balm. I wished the packaging states that it's a reformulation as a lot of loyal fans of the original formula will be so disappointed for not being notified when they purchased the lip balm and they expected only a new look to the packaging and not the formula itself. Also if you wanted to be provide an eco-friendly alternative then please, make a different version or line of the lip balm and sell it parallel with the original formula just like the coconut oil version and not replace an already well-established formula that people are using for decades. I have attached 3 photos of the original lip balm with the reformulated lip balm.
I have used the original balm for years. Bought the new one, not realising it had changed, and it tastes like plastic. Very disappointed and won't be stock piling it like I usually do.
Why on earth have you changed this?! I have been using it for about 10 years and now it's a dry, non smelling white mess! Please tell me you are still going to make or will re make the original one?!? This newer version is absolutely shocking
Very disappointed as I bought 2 new ones thinking I was restocking the same great product. Was confused already at opening as the product isn't looking the same at all. The original was yellowish buttery looking where the new version is white chalkish looking. The real problem is that this changes the look on the lips horribly, creates a problem that wasn't there before: the chapstick is visible now in a very unflattering tone. Where the original was looking natural almost invisible with just a sheer shine on the lips, the substitute leaves a white very visible film that makes the lips look sickly pale or as if a white cream was applied. This is the case with a bit of product already and only worsens with applying more which is necessary to achieve the right amount. Not what I want in a chapstick that was very much the perfect product before. you could trust blindly in any situation to nourish my lips and stay invisible.
