I cannot express how much I love and adore this product! Every time take a bath or shower and use this product, my skin is softer and smoother than its ever been. In my previous review for the whipped version I mentioned my rare skin disorder, which both products have helped tremendously! Thank you Alaffia for showing my skin love! I absolutely love this shea butter. I struggled with really dry skin and this product has really brought my skin back to life. The texture is very thick and may take a little getting used to if you aren't used to using Shea butter. However, once you apply it to your body it instantly moistures the skin. I love that it leaves your skin feeling moisturized for hours. Something that has been difficult to find in other products that I've used in the past. I must say that a little goes a long way! This product is great for dry, dull, itchy and sensitive skin and I would definitely recommended it to any one with those skin types.
I have Keratosis pilaris (KP) on my upper arms and overall dry skin in all weather conditions. I have been using this nightly for a week and have noticed a decrease in the number of bumps and the size of the bumps. I like the natural smell and dont find it overwhelming. I like knowing that I am not absorbing chemicals into my bloodstream as is the case with other lotions and medicated lotions I have used in the past. Doesnt leave an oily residue on my sheets like coconut oil sometimes can. I love how versatile this product is.
Love it for my, used to be, always dry skin. I am allergic to anything with dyes or perfumes so it is a challenge to find something that I can use. This absolutely fits the bill in every way. I found Shea butter years ago and for all these years I have always put it on after a bath. I also use Shea butter soap to wash with. The combination makes me comfortable. This Shea butter from Alaffia is simply the best!
This is the best moisturizer for my aging skin! I've been using it for more than a year and love it. I've given it as a gift to several friends and they've started using the unrefined shea and the whipped shea with coconut oil.
We purchased the Unscented Shea and it does have an unpleasant odor. I understand the process but should not smell like deceased humans (as someone mention in another review) or feces. Our 1 year Granddaughter deals with extreme dry itchy skin. We were hoping this would work.
I am not happy with this purchase. The Shea butter is extremely hard, so much so that I can't get it out of the jar. It is very frustrating and I probably won't use it because of this reason.
My daughter loves this product usually. Whatever this vendor sent us was either spoiled or a fraud product. It smelled terrible and was discolored.
