The Worx 20V Grass Trimmer/Edger is the easy-to-use, no fuss string trimmer that offers the ultimate in both convenience and functionality. It switches from a trimmer to an edger in just seconds, which saves you from buying a 2nd tool. It’s cordless, so you won’t get snagged on bushes and trees as you work around the yard. It’s cleaner and more cost-effective than gas-powered trimmers. Yet it provides more than enough power to give your lawn clean lines and straight edges. This tool comes with one 20V 1.5 Ah MaxLithium battery and a charger. That’s the very same battery that powers our chainsaws, even our lawnmowers. A 10” cutting diameter is wide enough to trim larger patches, but narrow enough to dart around garden edges and other landscaping features. The 10’ spool that comes in this kit is wound with 0.065” diameter DoubleHelix DNA Line2. That’s not your average trimmer string. This patented oval-shaped design is aerodynamically engineered to reduce drag and slice through grass, and it features a tensile strength of over 100 lbs., so it resists snapping. This robust, user-friendly 2-in-1 will let you get more done in less time. And its lightweight, ergonomic design means almost anyone can take it out and help with the yard work.

I've had this trimmer before, but the handle style has slightly changed. The trimmer finally died after 3 years. I decided to reorder it because it is lightweight and powerful for a battery operated trimmer. Not to mention the old battery from the old unit fits on this one as well. I truly love worx products because they are responsible in pricing, have reasonable power for the price, and very easy to assemble.
THIS WORX 20V TRIMMER IS GREAT. GIVES ME ABOUT 45 MIN CUT TIME. BATTERY CHARGES IN 3 TO 5 HOURS. ONE NOTE THO- MAKE SURE YOU CHARGE THE BATTERY FOR THE FIRST TIME A WHOLE 12 HOURS EVEN THO THE CHARGER GOES FROM RED TO GREEN LET IT STAY ON THE CHARGER FOR 12 HOURS FOR THE FIRST TIME.WHEN YOU PLUG CHARGER IN WALL IT WILL SHOW A GREEN LIGHT.WHEN YOU SLIDE CHARGER ONTO BATTERY IT WILL CHANGE TO RED INDICATING ITS CHARGING. AFTER THE FIRST TIME 12 HOUR CHARGING THE SECOND AN LATER CHARGES WILL TAKE 3 TO 5 HOURS. THEN TAKE BATTERY OFF CHARGER WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGES FROM RED TO GREEN IN 3 TO 5 HOURS. BATTERY IS ONLY CHARGED TO ABOUT 60% ON THE INITIAL CHARGE. AFTER SEVERAL CHARGE AN DISCHARGES OF USING THE TRIMMER THE BATTERY WILL CHARGE TO 100%.GREAT PRODUCT.MAKE SURE YOU WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN USING.
Clear instructions. Easy assembly. Once battery charged I was amazed and delighted at how quietly it ran and how light weight it was. So much quieter than the electric one I had been using. Initial thought was, "This thing just can't work very well". Doubt changed immediately to delight. I have a 5,000 sq. ft. yard (typical city-size) but with numerous small flower beds, trees and bushes around which to trim, the battery needed no recharge! There was no vibration during use and line fed out perfectly with clean cuts. Ahhhh - great product and very reasonably priced.
This is a light weight powerful weedeater very dependable & even cuts back the tough Johnson grass tho it runs the battery down faster when you cut the heavy grass. This is my second one I still have the first one & it still works great. The batteries are pretty pricy so I bought a new one that was a little bigger hoping the batteries will last longer The spool covers do tend to wear out & they are not the cheapest to replace either. I wish the parts were more available in the local stores as when I need the cover I need it now since I'm using it when it goes. The batteries from the 18 & 20 are interchangeable so have an extra battery at this time. Overall its a great item with it's light weight to do what I have to do.. Even my daughter has no problem using this
Lightweight and powerful. Battery lasts for a couple of cuttings. This is so easy to carry and use. If you are looking for a quality weeder- buy this!
does what a trimmer is sposed to do, 5 STARS FOR CONVENIENCE AND EASE OF USE. 3 STARS FOR TIME IT HOLDS A CHARGE, i have a big yard that requires a lot of trimming, i get about 30 minutes on a charge, my old rechargable trimmer lasted longer on a charge. 4 STARTS OVERALL
Pros: Its light, and the battery last a long time. Trimming horizontally is fine. Cons: Not NEARLY strong enough to use as an edger. Grass by the sidewalk was laughing at it.
Gutless, cuts small weak weeds. It's best as an edger. It will not cut big adult weeds, especially the grass type. The battery is too small. A bigger battery would give it more power and maybe cut the big daddy weeds.
The spoon keeps getting caught when I'm in the middle of my job. I get about 3 minutes before I have to fix the spool every single time. that's why I'm returning it. I thought for sure that worx would be better than this
After my first use I am returning it. The spools are smaller than any I have have ever seen on a string trimmer. On the first use I went through 75% of a spool and my lawn has only approximately 200 total feet that can be edged. So basically I would need to put on a new spool every time I mowed and edged my lawn. Even worse is that the auto-feed didn't work well. I had to stop and press the feed button after every 5 feet or so to get line to feed out. My lawn is fescue which shouldn't be a problem for most trimmers, but in spots where the lawn was thicker I had to go over them several times to get a good edge. On the positive side, I didn't have a problem with the battery as it lasted throughout the edging. My biggest complaints are how small the spools are and that the auto-feed worked marginally at best.
