[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] That's weird. No chicken, I mean you can barely tell. The texture is almost spot on. They taste like regular ol' breaded tenders. I'm shookith. I threw some BBQ sauce on them after I tried them plain and I'm telling you.... This is a great substitution for junk food dinner!
I've been eating plant based for years and missed chicken the most, so I've tried many brands of veggie chicken some are very good, but this is by far the best! yum!
I prefer Morningstar Farms meatless alternatives over the other brands. I tried the tenders today for the first time and they are now my favorite. I have nothing negative to say about the taste or texture. Perfect for vegetarians.
THE BEST tenders I've tried!!! I've had Gardein, Beyond, and some off brand ones and these are top tier. I literally kept looking at them and checking the pack to make sure it wasn't actually chicken LOL Definitely need more in the bag though.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These work for what they are, but expect a chicken nugget feel rather than chicken strip. It does have the texture of blended up and reformed chicken mush. Visually when you cut into it, it looks like slightly dry chicken. They also get soggy really fast (even with spraying the outside with oil to make them crisp up). So don't let them sit out before serving. Flavor wise- They have the classic heavy soy taste. Just like a tofurkey, which isn't bad per say - you just won't be trick someone into thinking its not plant based. My partner who is on the picky side grumbled a bit about them, but still ate them when dipped in cauliflower mac n cheese sauce. The dog ate her whole plate without complaints. (She does tend to spit food out and growl when she doesn't like it). Personally, I am not sure I would buy these again. It was better than biting into woody chicken- but the carb count is really high and hard to fit into a diet, and the taste is not something I would go back for. I have not really eaten or wanted to eat chicken nuggets in probably 20 ish years, so I may just be biased. I think I would go for a grilled option instead (do they make those?) Since these are more nugget like than strip like.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These chicken tenders were pretty tasty. They weren't as good as some other vegan foods I've had before though. I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I really couldn't tell the difference between this and real chicken though.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They come in a 12 pack. I cooked them in the air fryer (as I normally do for chicken tenders) and they were okay! I didn't eat them as a comparison to chicken. I ate them as their own entity and they were okay. Not a whole lot of flavor, so we ate with ranch, but then the ranch overpowered and you couldn't even taste the tender. The texture was good and the coating had a nice crunch. If I was veg or vegan and I was craving a tender they would be good. But as a standalone I felt they could improve on the flavor.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cooked them in air fryer for 8 minutes at 400. Easy enough prep. Usually with plant based food especially cheeses the consistency is what throws me off but this looked and felt like chicken although you couldn't easily pull it apart. Unfortunately, it had an odd smell I just couldn't get past.
The new and improved recipe is just new. The new recipe is not good. The recipe as it was before was delicious, I'm going to pass on the new recipe and find a different brand .
Bland, mushy cardboard basically. I really wanted to like these too!
