Someone is probably crying that i used this for tacos but it's tender abd had good flavor. The package opened easily. it did not smell, which is different from a competitor's store's meat counter ground beef.
Perfect beef for smash burgers! I'll be getting more to keep on hand in the freezer.
It This was the best deal anywhere for the longest time! I gave it 4 stars bc the price went up $1.50 a pound overnight! The flavor is far better than the “regular” burger meat they sell. Too bad that the price went up so much. Regardless If I had bought groceries from a competitor, I would make a special trip to Walmart just for this Waygu beef. It's still not a bad deal, bc it's really good.
The beef is delicious, we smoke patties for burgers %26 always get rave reviews. HOWEVER, CHECK THE PACKAGE WEIGHT!!! These are packaged as 1 lb packages but every single time we have noticed they are not 16 oz packages. This photo was the only package closest to 16 oz. Most were around 15.5 oz. I tried contacting Walmart customer service online but was told that was not his area to provide assistance. This was at the Walmart Store in Rexburg ID. But these are not packaged in the store. Everyone should weigh the packages %26 start rattling cages, the weight on the package SHOULD be correct.
Not bad, but really not any more flavorful than the regular 80/20 ground chuck that I usually buy. Not really worth the price difference. It was fun to try it, though.
I was so looking forward to trying wagyu beef. nothing special about it. with 1% fat it is dry and not anything that wow me. regular beef is just as tasty.
*All* American Wagyu Beef is a Marketing Scam. Did you know, according the FDA, a cow needs to be only genetically - 51% Wagyu stock, for it to be labeled as Wagyu? In Japan, it's 100%. My wife, who is Japanese, and I have *eaten* actual Wagyu beef in Japan. This is not Wagyu. Actual Wagyu cows are so rare and precious, only a few hundred produced each year, they would never grind it up like that. Only sliced thin, cooked rare or medium rare. This would be illegal to call this Wagyu in Japan, because it's not. It's just like when everyone was falsely labeling stuff as Kobe Beef, or "Wasabi Peas" and "Wasabi paste" none of which contain actual Kobe cows (Angus) or wasabi (American HORSERADISH and green food coloring) Stop with the lies.
Paid for this but never got it in my delivery!!
I wanted hamburger patties not ground hamburger I've got plenty of that
They changed suppliers and this is not even close to as good as the old on. I bit down on chunks of grizzele, patties did not shrink as much as they used to, and flavor was - gone. \
