This moisturizer and the spot treatment are perfect on my skin. The first day I got them they completely erased all the redness from the acne on my forehead. The spot treatment burns a little, but that's a sign it's working. Unlike any of my previous acne moisturizers, this one made my skin extremely soft and hydrated. I hope this product works for you too, but your skin type may reject it. It can happen a lot.
For a good two months or so I used this product after I cleansed with the Clean & Clear- Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. I never had a ton of acne, but I did have underlining acne in the form of bumps all over my face and a few pimples here and there. When using these products my skin was literally flawless. I was so excited! When I ran out of the moisturizer I didn't make a big deal of it, for I thought that the acne cleanser was what was improving my skin so much! So I just bought a well known face moisturizer from Neutrogena. Almost IMMEDIATELY my skin went back to being bumpy and imperfect. It took me a little while to realize that is wasn't actually the cleanser, but the moisturizer that was making my skin perfect!!! I went out and bought 3 of them to always have them in stock and to this day they are the only product that I SWEAR BY. Even if one night you aren't feeling using a scrub or wash, just remove your makeup with a wipe and put the moisturizer over and your skin will remain flawless. I absolutely love this product and highly recommend it. **Also, if I see a pimple coming on, I'll just put the moisturizer over it at night and can be sure of it to make it go away by morning!**
Have used this product for years, leaves my face/neck feeling hydrated with minimal scent and no filmy texture. Absorbs quickly, for an easy start/end to the day. Packaging is compact and easy to use, size is not allowed for Carry-On when traveling which is a bummer, but easily transfers to a smaller TSA approved carrier.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this in combination with the spot treatment, and it works excellently. My skin is prone to becoming oily, and this keeps my skin from drying out, without leaving residue behind. I would say that this type of product might not be for people with very sensitive skin, but my skin needs something more robust like this product.
This oil free moisturizer is amazing it smells great and leaves your skin soft. They also use safe ingredients. I would definitely recommend this moisturizer
This product is pretty good, its been the first product I use to help prevent acne but the results are not what I expected. The product does help prevent some acne but it hasn't helped fully and I been using this product for almost 2 months. Although it hasn't helped much its still works good.
The product does what it claims to do: Moisturizes without clogging pores- I wouldn't say it fights breakouts, but it certainly doesn't worsen them. It has an almost gel-like consistency compared to the Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer, which is more lotion-y. However, this seems to be intended for oilier skin than the Dual Action one is, so it may be more drying, but it worked fine for my combination skin. It's really a matter of personal preference; personally I prefer the Dual Action, but that's because for me it absorbs faster and has a pleasant cooling sensation.
I think that this product works really well as long as you don't use too much. If you use too much than it will make your skin dry which nobody wants. I have tried the Dual Action Moisturizer and had seen this in the store & wanted to see if there was a difference between the two but I didn't really notice any difference. The only difference was the color of the bottles and they had different names (Advantage Acne Control Moisturizer & Essentials Dual Action Moisturizer). Both moisturizers work well I just couldn't figure out what the difference was between the two.
I started using this one when they discontinued the morning glow moisturizer with spf 15. At first I tried the dual action but it made my skin really oily. In a desperate attempt I tried another brand with no luck and so I went back to clean and clear and reluctantly tried this lotion. It works pretty good but I don't like the lack of sunscreen and the precaution to stay out of the sun. It makes my skin dry sometimes and I only use once a day. #wish they would bring back morning glow. :(
I absolutely hate this product. I switched to this about 3 weeks ago from the Dual Action Moisturizer, and it's completely messed up my skin. I usually get like one really bad breakout around the time of my period, and I've been hesitant to blame this product for my skin. However, after reading some of the negative reviews, I realized that I was experiencing the same things. I have senior pictures in less than a week, and I have horrible breakouts all over my skin. I've been breaking out in a new place every day for 2 weeks! This was the only change I've made, face routine and dietary! I'm so frustrated, and I don't know how I'm going to fix this in a week. DO NOT buy this product!!! I have 8 breakouts in places I normally don't even break out in! I could cry from the anger and frustration I'm feeling.
