I was skeptical to try this because my roots were SO light! I was afraid the color wouldn't blend in well. I was so wrong! This is very easy to do yourself and very quick. I parted my hair as normal, used the brush to brush on the color, also a couple more sections and the area around my hairline. I had WAY more than enough color. With having naturally blonde hair, and the fact that red color is very difficult to keep bright and pigmented, this helps tremendously for inbetween salon visits. I am very happy that I stumbled upon this...and that my husband convinced me to try it!! I will most definately use this between hair appts. and I will also be sharing my extremely positive experience with my friends and family.
Based on recommendation, I bought Clairol Nice n' Easy 5G Medium Golden Brown. After following the steps and then viewing the outcome, my mouth literally dropped and stayed that way for a few seconds, because I was in AWE!!! All the difficult gray around the edges was conquered. The box reads, 100% gray coverage and it is true. The color was vibrant and beautiful! I then separated my hair in various places and saw that even the roots were colored! I am highly IMPRESSED with this product! I have been trying to conquer the gray for years and now it has been defeated! Thank you Clairol for making such an amazing product! Thank you!
So since all salons are closed for who knows how long I decided to try this out based off of reviews and doing some research. I normally get full highlights that are very light icy blonde. I was pretty nervous but I needed to fix my natural dark strawberry blonde roots. I have to say this wasn’t obviously a perfect solution but it did help get rid of the dark blonde and lifted it to a medium/ light blonde with some strawberry undertones. It blended incredibly well and it will definitely be my go to till salons are open and and in between visits fix. So too all my light icy blonde girls out there who are needing a fix try this. This was my first time for at home coloring and I’m super happy with this product!!
I've been a Root Touch Up customer for years. Normally love the product but opened up my normal Dark Blonde box and had quite the surprise. The box, the tube, everything said it was Dark Blonde #7. Opened up a second box and it contained the correct color (see left).
I have always used this product in black between salon visits. I noticed blue black was a new color offered and purchased this instead. The product in the #1 tube was orange. I thought maybe it was the wrong color, so I mixed it with the #2 bottle and placed it on a cotton swab. After 5 mins or so it turned a dark brown color which gradually seemed to turn black as time went on. I figured it's a new color and put it on. It looked dark, but not as dark as black usually does while on. It was thicker than usual and hard to coat my hair completely. Once kept on 5 mins more than the recommended time, which I always do, I rinsed out as directed. It left about a third of my greys untouched and the rest looked brownish. Now I think it may have been the wrong color in the tube.
I've been using Clairol Root Touch-Up (4-Dark Brown) for years with great results between salon visits. Now all of a sudden I've gotten my second box in a few months and second bad result. I thought that perhaps the first bad result was because I didn't leave it on long enough (15 mins) and it came out light brown. But this latest result I left on for 20 minutes and got the same weird light brown. Has the formulation changed or something? Also this particular box had a color tube (marked as a #1) that began as one (golden brown) color when I was squeezing it out and then became a granular blue/black color. I'm really wondering if I should try this product again. I really have relied on it between salon visits! Very unhappy!
I bought this product to touch up my roots not only is it extremely dark but left a dark ring around my head I now have it on my face and my arms and he will not wash off with soap and water very disappointed will not buy again will not recommend it for anyone
I've been using this product for years and have absolutely loved it. Today, when I tried to do my roots, I noticed the color was way off. Fortunately, I had an old box of Light Blonde, so I used that with the usual wonderful result. But look at the photo below. I was too afraid to use the new one that I'd opened first, for fear my hair would turn orange or red or god knows what. So Miss Clairol, when you changed the box, you changed the formula? Reading other reviews now, (after the fact) that seems to be the case. Please bring back the old formula or you will lose my business.
Hi my mom bought the blue black root touch up and when she started mixing the solution together the color came out as a bright orange and it didn’t oxidize to a black. The box was never open or tampers, typically when she buys this product the color will oxidize to a dark grey or black but it’s bright orange. Who can I talk to?
I tried this product and am so disappointed, I think it's a great idea with the brush and was so easy to use but it didn't work. The first time I done it I left it for 15 minutes, rinsed, no change, so I done it again this morning, left it for half hour, rinsed, nothing, not very financial atm so disappointed that I spent the money and got no results what so ever r
