Got this for my 7-year old. He loves it! It is well made and is something that will grow with him. Cool colors and decals. He loves the front hand brake.
I am a teen and this bike is perfect for kids any where from ages 10-15. Its got some nice wide tires with ACTUAL treads on them so you dont have to worry about ripping through the tire and unto the tube causing a flat. The front hand brake and the rear pedal brake give a nice BMX feel to the bike. It has beautiful paint even though the decals are stickers and there are some, but very few air bubbles i suggest you pop those. I love this bike so much I am considering buying rims for it, and I have just recently added blue grips, blue valve caps, and blue tires. Between everything in total (including the bike) I have spent a little under $100 and I love that bike. I actually have TWO locks for it. This is overall the best purchase I have made by far. I ride bike everyday for about 6 hours and this bike hasnt failed on me so far.
I bought 2 of these for grandchildren at our beach house. The kids loved them. They rode well on the beach as well as bike paths and even grass. Would buy again in a minute.
This has been a great purchase my son is 8 and rides almost everyday. Like the fact that it still has the coaster brakes, but he can also use the hand brakes. He loves the paint job and decals!
I was actually looking for a 16 inch bike for my son. The 20's were a little too big for him but the 16's are getting harder to find. This was one of the few if only 20 inch bikes that would allow the seat to lower to a comfortable and safe height. I did have to remove the reflector and reposition it lower on the frame. My son has put this bike through the mill and it hasn't given him one problem other than normal wear on tires and tightening the chain. Highly recommend this bike for a beginner that will be a little rough on a bike, like most kids are. Great price too!!
This is a great bargain in today's prices for a kid's bike. It's basic, but well-made. The product meets my expectation. The height is adjustable so it can last little longer as the kid grows. I chose this one because it's a lot more affordable and knowing it would be too small for my kid before long. I spent a lot of money on my kid's first bike. He outgrew it so quickly that I would never spend all that money to get fancy features for a kid's bike again. The bike came in a box partially assembled so you'll have to put it together on your own. My husband said the assembly was easy but the instructions for installing the front bake were poorly written.
We ordered this site-to-store for our very tall almost 7-yr old, and WalMart assembled it too. And we did not have to wait long at all. It is a beautiful bike. The picture does not do it justice. My son absolutely LOVES it and it rides really well. It has both a rear foot brake and a front hand brake, which is rare to find on this size bike. Good quality, and for the money I cannot imagine you can get a better value. We also like that it is red because we have three little girls who we would like to pass it on to. It is not girly by any means, but also not so overtly boyish that a girl would refuse to ride it. The way this thing is constructed I have no doubt it will last through that many kids.
This bike was not only friendly on the wallet, but also friendly to assemble. Comes mostly assembled you just have to put a couple parts together. Very easy. Awesome looking bike, great graphics that you would usually see on higher end bikes. This bike is also a very sturdy good quality bike. I didnt want to spend a lot of money because my son is hard on his bikes yet I still wanted some quality and this bike definately fit the bill. My son thinks that he has the "baddest" looking bike on the block. He loves it. Great buy!!
This bike, along with a helmet and a lock, was a gift for our Rotary "Adopt-A-Family" effort this Christmas. I sincerely hope the young man who receives it appreciates it. It was beautiful and I think very appropriate for the 12-year-old. I cannot say enough about the helpfulness of the Wal-Mart associates who handled my 'site-to-store' transaction. They were professional, actually assembled the bike for me, and we all enjoyed the spirit of the season. Merry Christmas to them, and to those who read this message, too!
The bike overall looked nice, but it was featured as a red bike (which I was specifically looking for). Unfortunately, it came to us in blue. It was a birthday gift, so we did not want to take the time to return for the right color. Who knows, we might have gotten another blue one anyway!
