I had never worn primer before I tried this one. I am very dark skinned and Figured I'd try the cheapest one and if i liked the idea of what it did, then I'd stick with it. I was so glad i did. My skin is VERY oily especially in the summertime so this came in handy last year for the first time. Ive ordered probably 7 times since then because I wear that much makeup. The con is that I wish It came in a bigger size. I order two at a time because I know I'll run out in just under a month. It creates this smooth canvas over your face so that your makeup looks flawless and porcelain like. I tried MAC's primer and liked it, this one just worked netter and was way cheaper. I'll buy this forever.
This primer is amazing and it works so good . I struggled wit dry skin for the last five years and everything I've ever tried has failed me . I was skeptical about this stuff to at first but I figured I'd buy it and try it anyways so happy I did . Worked that well I went and ordered another five . Trust me if you deal with dry skin on a daily basis this is the stuff to turn to . Will definitely purchase again .
This is my favorite primer. As the title says, I have oily skin. Due to this, I avoid wearing foundation because it feels like I am being suffocated, but if I do, I use this. In addition to the oily skin, I have always been insecure by my large pores/textured skin (thanks, genetics). This reduces the harshness of the uneven texture, especially when used by someone like me who prefers powders to deal with their oiliness.
I like this primer for keeping my makeup looking good all day and smoothing out the lines and wrinkles on a face that's over 50. I've used other Elf primers but this is the first time I've used the hydrating formula. I can't say that I notice a difference but extra hydration is important, especially during the winter months. So i bought this primer at the store the other day, i had trouble deciding which though because there was about 4 different ones lol (hydrating, tone-correcting,etc) and decided, 'hey, hydration to skin can never be bad right?' And so i chose this one, considering i have dry combination skin. I love it! The texture does feel a bit oily though but silky at the same time. I dab any excess off my face if i feel i applied too much because a little goes a long way. I'm not one to wear primers, i would just apply my normal liquid foundation on bare skin and after using this, i found it makes my makeup stay on longer and fresh looking as if i just applied. My makeup goes on smoother and flawless. To each their own and it worked out perfect for me. 5 stars from me especially because of the price!
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! I have been using this for about 5 years. Not just as a primer. I use it as a daily moisturizer all day. I keep one by the bed, by my t.v. chair, on my vanity, in my travel bag, in the bathroom, all places. I love the way it makes my skin feel. I am 66 with very dry skin. Great product!
this primer has always been a fav of mine. The only con is that it has a strong smell. It does the job well. Leaves my skin soft under my makeup.
I Bought this like a year ago, my first impression was that it seems a little oily, but you should let it dry, then its really hydrating. Give it a chance.
I wanna start by saying I Love ELF and 99% of my last haul. Unfortunately this primer didn't make the cut. Its very oily! My face is super dry & flakey this winter. I thought this would help but it isn't just oily, its greasy :( BEWARE! It feels like im putting on a mild form of baby oil. I won't be using it on my face but thought I could keep it as HAND LOTION. Yes, its that overly moisturizing.
