I am very pleased with this stovetop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving my cooktop! KA really needs to get samples of this downdraft cooktop in some stores so one can actually see the quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with the cooktop and it's performance. A nice addition and focal point in the kitchen.
This product was installed during a custom build and I am so happy with our choice. It's easy to clean, heats up really fast and it fits in perfect with our modern theme. The downdraft feature works even better than I thought it would. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this cooktop almost a year ago to replace another one due to a kitchen remodel. I love the large size and especially the extra large burner that I use for canning. The burners heat up quickly and can get much hotter than my previous cooktop. The downdraft also works great and is easy to clean. My only issues are that the surface scratches very easily and when there are spills they are quite difficult to clean. I did see mention of this problem in the reviews but had to make a quick purchase with few options due to my remodel. This is my 3rd electric cooktop and the first one I have had problems with. It looks much worse at this point than my last one did after 10 years. If the surface was more user friendly I would highly recommend this cooktop and have given it a 5 star rating.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the cook top very much. I did notice that the first time that I used the cooktop that a circle similar to a thin ring of tiny bubbles was left on the cook top, where the pots had been sitting on the burners. Even after the cook top cooled, the circles remained. I tried to remove the rings with a cook top cleaner, but the circles still remain. I hated that my new cook top was permanently marked. I had no pot above the medium setting, but still the ring was left.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally got it installed (NOT a ‘perfect replacement size for Whirlpool downdraft stove), and loving the power and controls sensitivity. NOT in love with ‘water spots' we can't seem to remove though…do everything as instructed but still get them occasionally, and don't come out?!??
I was so excited to get my cooktop but now I'm concerned. It scratches very easily and it is very difficult to get spills, boil-overs, etc off. I never dreamed it would be this much trouble.. I really need your help to enjoy this cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not totally happy. First of all I had to get a downdraft stove so as to not have to tear up floors during remodel. Hating the black top because it shows every speck of food, greese, etc- and DUST when not in use. And third, the very first time I used it, there were marks that I thought was just spills but won't come off. Also hard to clean in between knobs. Kudos on speed in which burners heat up. ( I can't seem to submit pics on phone but would love to have someone from kitchenaid contact me to discuss!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in August and the ceramic top has gotten unglued from the frame and is lifting up on one side. This should not happen on an item this expensive.
