Love it and love the fact that it's whipped so pliable. It's nostalgic for me using shea butter and my skin and hair love this with its mild aroma of ginger. The smell is not over powering at all & the shea makes my skin glow and we'll moisturized. It's great for dry skin.
Wonderful scent and very moisturizing. As some other reviews mentioned, the texture when you open the container is thick and almost grainy. Once it touches your skin it becomes smooth and creamy, like butter, yet absorbs quickly.

It surpassed my expectations. The scent is subtle and delicate while the whipped consistency rocks. Melts quickly and absorb fully leaving a glistening finish. Will definitely purchase again.
It is a food product a little grainy. I whipped it with a little coconut oil to make is smoother. Otherwise I'm satisfied.
The whipped Shea Butter/Coconut Oil from Alaffia is a body butter that has no harmful ingredients and as such gives me peace of mind. It leaves the skin very smooth and hydrated. However, the consistency of the body butter is not creamy and therefore can't be applied as easily as a lotion. This can be mitigated somewhat by taking a small amount and rubbing it between the hands to warm up before applying to the skin. It requires a bit of effort to rub into the skin but it seems well worth it. I have also noticed a slight underlying odor that I assume comes from the Shea butter but I can't quite find the words to describe the smell. It's not offensive and has kind of an herbal character to it, but it clearly comes through when the smell from the volatile essential oils evaporates as the body butter is applied. Overall I can recommend this product for its superior ability to hydrate the skin and it's safety profile.
The cream is very effective! It smells great and isn't greasy. It isn't very spreadable though. I've been struggling to get all-over coverage. In the meantime, it is perfect for chapped hands.
The quality of the shea butter was poor. The smell of the mandarin smelled more chemical than natural scent. It was overpowering as well. It was disappointing
