This unit came basically ready to plug in and go. Simple to use, easy to empty, all digital. Bought this 3 weeks ago, set it on turbo fan, continuous run and havent thought about it since! Shuts off when tank is full and restarts when you empty it. Powerful also, 77% humidity to 31% in my finished basement. Down halls , around corners, closed doors, this puppy works AWESOME!! ( and the musty smell is gone)
This dehumidifier is the most quiet of the multiple dehumidifiers I have owned. It works great and I just hope it lasts longer than the other dehumidifiers I've owned (I've been lucky to get 3-5 years out of previous units).
Works like a charm! Energy efficient and effective in keeping basement dry. Easy to operate. All my RCA products last for decades and are still working well. Great brand!
This item is spectacular, it works very quite and it is very efficient. I really recommend this item. You will not have any complaint for this dehumidifier.
It was easy to set up, less expensive than comparable other models (on sale). Totally dehumidified our big basement in a day. Not too noisy. Works great direct to the drain in our basement, so no hassle of emptying the water tray. A previous one we had, if you bumped it even a little, it switched over to using the tray, this one doesn't have a switching mechanism, the hose bibb actually bypasses the tray, which is great. Don't know about longevity yet, but we'll see.
Arrived quickly through ordering from Walmart.com. Nice looking, quiet running, and the fill bucket has a handle making it easy to carry up and out. Great product. Very happy with it. :)
We have only had it a short time, but so far it works fine. It is quieter than our old one, an Edison, it was 20 years old. Would have preferred knobs not digital, but can only find digital. Directions are lacking in explaining what you are seeing on the display and what each actually does. When 1st turned it on, was set at a low humidity, made the basement hot. Air it blew out was very warm, when I turned it up to about 55% was much better, took a while to figure out how. When did as directions said nothing happened. It didn't kick on an off as frequently. Still not sure about setting the timer mode. Directions not very clear. Got the humidity down quickly and has kept it there since. Empty it about 1-2 times a week. When it says it is full. As long as this one runs a long time will buy another to replace it.
Purchased this in June after such great reviews. I bought this dehumidifier for the second floor of the townhome where the humidity seemed to linger and had a distinct damp smell to it. The first three weeks the machine ran constantly with only two breaks in three weeks. I was emptying the 50-pint canister up to 4 times a day. I figured the home was just this damp. Finally, after 3 weeks the machine started working like it should have turning on when the humidity went above the desired rate we set and did not require emptying maybe two or three times a day at most. It did heat up the house a few degrees due to the warm air it puts out. In August, it then began cutting on far less frequently and the humidity was still very high where we live. It began putting out cool air rather than the warm air we were used to. Finally on October 4, just shy of 4 months after purchase, the dehumidifier has stopped working. It has an error code showing for which there is not much information on when you search google or the product website except to find the machine is pretty much gone at this point. I would not recommend this for anyone.
ordered online and shipped to store to pickup. When open up the box and plugged in, the indication of the bucket full is always on. It turns out that the hinge for the water if full is broken. Defective product.
