We were introduced to this fast and convenient water heater for drinks at our recent visit to my brother's home in Phoenix. We decided we had to have one in our kitchen and ordered it through the WalMart web site. It is all we expected and we are very pleased to retire our stove-top tea kettle.
Large capacity 1.7 liter kettle with small footprint. Compliment my stainless steel appliances nicely.
Well, maybe not so little - the capacity is enough for the tea party. I had this kettle for more then a year, bought one for my parents, and recently - for my daughter. All are very pleased with it - it looks nice, durable, reliable, and boiling water super fast.
Fast service, great price east & quicker than a microwave & also portable since it is wireless, you lift it off it's base! This is the third one I have given as a gift & I have two myself, one for my kitchen & one for my studio! I highly recommend this product!
I had a microwave go out and this is the perfect solution. I used this 4 times per day, its quick and safe.
This is my second purchase of this model. It looks exactly the same with a couple small tweaks, being a newer model. I had the last one for years and it conked out about a week ago. We literally felt the brunt of no longer being able to use it. We truly became dependent on this kettle! You don't have to watch a pot and the capacity of water really suits our needs. It's like a little assistant. So glad we have another one.
It boils really fast. The minimum (.5L) boils in less than 2 minutes. The opening to fill it is a little small, which may make cleaning difficult and the plastic around the water level viewer will make it even harder to clean (see picture). The pictures of the power button in the user manual are reversed from the one I received. Fortunately they do explain that the I is for on and the O is for off.
I don't like electric kettles that have anything but a smooth surface inside the kettle and this one had a little pipe on the inside, so I chose the Hamilton Beach 1.7 L programmable kettle instead of this one. The inside on the programmable one was completely smooth.
I'm a bit disappointed with my purchase. Yes, it looks great and it does the job, but it heats slow. Also, I didn't notice how small the top opening was. I have small hands but I can barely reach in to scrub the inside of the pot.
The order arrived, but it was broken. How can I return and exchange it?
