Got this for my girls and LOVE it ! They can push the little heart & hear spring music, push it agin & x-mas songs. After the song is done you hear the crackle of the fire place. You can also push the top button which turns the wreath around & plays music.
My daughter loves the fireplace because it sings and lights up. Sadly, she doesn't know how to be gentle with toys. She has flung this poor thing across the room too many times for me to count, yet it sings on, undamaged. I'm impressed with the durability of this product. It was intended for gentle use (It IS a dollhouse toy after all) and yet at this point I think it could fill in as a hockey puck and still work!! 5 stars all around.
My granddaughter was thrilled with her new Loving Family dollhouse and tons of furniture, but the fireplace was her favorite. She made it a point to say the flip side of the wreath with the pink flowers was much prettier and she would leave it on that side. With 5 granddaughters, all under the age of 5, we are surrounded with 13 Loving Family dollhouses and just about the entire line of Little People. My only negative comment, which I have passed on to Fisher Price is they have a grossly inadequate selection of people, and they need to make more families and individual characters available. I had to resort to ebay to buy enough characters so my granddaughters would have a loving family doll for each member of the household, not an easy task with 4 households in total. And yes, generic brands are out there, even cheaper, but they don't measure up to the quality and detail found in Fisher Price products. We need more family members, and it would be nice if Fisher Price would not only produce more families, but just set them all at the same price, and let us pick and choose whether we want baby, toddler, boy, girl, or adult in a package. Dollhouses are no fun at all if you have tons of furniture and accessories, and no people. Otherwise, I'm delighted, as are all the girls, with all our Loving Family collections. We have two of the Loving Family Home for the Holiday houses, and you can bet they will be passed down from generation. They are just that special.
This was the cutest-looking set but, in the middle of the night, the fireplace started randomly playing Christmas music - in double time! It freaked my daughter out so much that we had to take the fireplace out of her room. We eventually removed the batteries.
