I am so excited to have this cooktop after having a coil top since 2009! The features are awesome!
It is exactly what we wanted? Easy install. It did require more space underneath than the old cook top.... I had to modify a drawer to accommodate the large junction box that is on the underside.
This is so super cool, I am so excited to really get cooking on it. I have had an electric coil cooktop for years. I was afraid to get the flat tops because of safety and afraid to cook on the flat surface not knowing when it's hot or cool. When I upgraded my kitchen with the beautiful granite it was too pretty to put another coil type stove in. They told me it would look awful. I went to go look for cooktops with a lot of stress the Place I shopped at a big variety and I had a great sales person to go over all of the different features of all the different cooktops. I told him my fears with someone may be bumping and turning it on. He showed me this GE profile with knobs it's gorgeous and it even has a lock on it so no one can bump it on or I can feel secure and my grandkids won't be able to turn it on with your little fingers. It looks amazing it is super high-tech looking with The way the burners light up and the glow goes away and you have a light showing that it's on and it stays on while it's warm. It looks so classy and nice I'm so glad I got it and I feel confident with the lock and the knobs that no accidents will happen I cooked on it this morning and it was wonderful he's so fast even has a place for a grill has two burners that hook together when you wanna put a long dish pan on it. I just love all the features I'm so excited A+ from me!
I have had this GE profile product for a few months now and my husband and I are loving it! I have other GE Profile kitchen appliances and we have been very satisfied with those. They are more expensive, but you get quality and performance for the price. We love the way we can choose the size of the burners to fit various pan diameters, and so far we are keeping spills wiped up quickly and it still looks great! I am planning on splurging and purchasing a griddle for the double burners to make pancakes for the grands! We use the stove usually three times daily, and this one has exceeded our expectations!!
All aspects of our new GE electric stovetop work perfectly. The burners are terrific and the LED safety lights and Lock knob are so welcomed in these retirement years. And, clean up is a breeze - just remember to remove the cleaning product immediately after application and then shine back to that just delivered look!
So user friendly, delivers the exact cooking temperature to all elements. VERY SLEEK and most of all, EASY to CLEAN!!! Our Le Creuset LOVES our NEW GE PROFILE COOKTOP!!!

Great and easy to use and clean. Sad to say it does have a Scratch in it already. My old GE cooktop didn't scratch as easy as my new one.
Have already needed service because the synchronized burners have never worked since installation. I'm working to get the right products and processes to keep the stovetop clean, but it has been time intensive and frustrating. Love "power boil" feature.
I have owned this cooktop for two months. It replaced a 17 year old smooth cooktop. I never knew how much I liked it until it was gone. I purchased this particular GE model because 1. it was a good price, 2. I wanted knobs with center placement and 3. I wanted 5 cooking elements. Other than the knob placement, this has been a bust for me. I often cook with two large skillets or a large pot and a large skillet at the same time. There is only one large burner so I can only use one very large pan at a time. Since that large burner sits in the middle, the handle extends over other burners. Not good if you are wanting to use the other burners at the same time. I find the Syncburner to be almost worthless. It does not work for me if I want to put a large pan or pot in the middle of the two burners. Uneven heating results, due to the fact that the pan or pot is wider than the burners. I just purchased a new griddle to be used on the Syncburner. I found it to give uneven heating for that, also. After spending too much time trying to thoroughly cook the food, I ended up transferring the food to a skillet on the large burner. This cooktop is just a lot of effort every time I want to use it. I actually try to not use it. I don't think that I have ever disliked an appliance as much as I dislike this one. If nothing else, it looks really nice, but I do not recommend this model.
