The picture quality is absolutely wonderful. I have had a lot of fun with this camera. And have not began to use it to it's full potential. I purchased a 10mp last year from a different brand and it comes no where close to the quality that this Sony camera has.
I love this camera so far! Did alot of research to narrow down what i really wanted vs. needed in a camera and this meets them! My last digital camera was my first, didnt know what I was buying and I missed every smile from my baby's first year because the shutter speed was so slow!!! This camera has an auto smile option that will automatically take a pic when your baby smiles! I also have low lighting in my house so the last camera always took poor pics no matter what setting I chose! "It was a polariod" I have had nothing but beautiful pics with this camera! It automatically does everything for me. I can even point and shoot in the dark and the pics turn out as if it were daytime.....This camera is made well and I loved the color options too, mine is blue.
This camera is very easy to use. Takes pictures quickly with the burst mode.
I bought this camera knowing I wouldn't have much time to learn it's functions for my daughter's wedding 2 weeks later. The camera was easy to learn and the pictures/videos are wonderful. I will have great pictures to remember this special day! I was concerned that it doesn't have a view finder but the screen was easy to see even outside in the sun light.
The ONLY thing I don't like about this camera is that it doesn't zoom while recording...and I can live with that. You have to zoom before you record. Takes GREAT action shots of horses. Even someone with no camera knowledge can take decent action shots! Awesome camera for the price.
I am extremely happy with my purchase and I still haven't learned all the functions yet. Takes excellent pics and has so many great features!

I got this camera as a gift from my husband to replace our missing Fujifilm(which I loved!) And I could not be happier with this camera. It takes the quick snap shots of our 6 month old in mid-movement, and when she is moving during the snap the pictures don't get fuzzy. I recommend this camera for every parent, and anyone wanting a great camera in such a little package!!!!
Inside pictures for me seem to take to much editing to adjust the lighting, etc. I shopped for a camera for weeks and finally decided to give this one a try. I couldn't be happier. I no longer have to edit every single inside picture. The flash is fantastic and the view of the photo seems to have a wide lense to capture a large portion of the room. Even took a photo with very little lighting to give it a test and found that it looked like the room was lit up like Christmas! Love it and totally recommend. In store price was $159.00.
I have just gotten the camera home after returning an olympus camera to WalMart. I wanted something that has a short lag between photos because I have small children that move. After research online I found this camera to be one of the fastest between photos in its price range. MSRP is 179.00 I got it on a roll back today (Christmas Eve 2009) for 142.00. This is a great price for the camera! Living in Alaska things are expensive cameras are no exception, making this an exceptional value. The diffent modes of photo taking are easy to navagate. The dial is easy to turn and has several options including snow, fireworks and even the smile detection. Some reviews online state there is no stability control but I think that was on an older version, because the menu has it right on there and I took several test shots at the store purposefully moving the camera quite a bit and got clear shots. The flash on auto mode works in my dark livingroom with only the chirstmas tree for lighting, giving me a crisp and clear nicely colored photo. It uses a duo stick for memory not an SD card, I dont know why but that is about the ony thing I dont care for. I wish that WalMart carried this in black, I got the light blue.
