Good ingredients. Always good quality. A small ecological benefit: The glass jar is nice in a world of too much plastic.
This is one supplement I can't do without. In 1980, someone recommended Lysine to combat fever blisters, one of the herpes simplex family. Can't say if it helps with genital herpes, but Lysine works wonders with facial/labial herpes. I've suffered from cold sores/fever blisters since childhood. They are triggered by illness, stress, sunburn, anything that depletes the immune system. Foods like chocolate, nuts, sugar, can also bring on an attack. Lysine can prevent the onset, or reduce the course of an attack, so I can enjoy the occasional [Fran's] chocolate. (Shout out to Seattle! No, I'm not affiliated with Fran's.) The 1000mg pills are large to swallow, but there are smaller sizes available. The only drawback I found is that megadoses, 8 grams or more, can cause diarrhea, so I am careful to limit intake.
Tried three or four other brands as a natural remediation for shingles. The results were tangible because the strength of each product was revealed by the level of itching and irritation experienced. Easy to swallow, non-GMO, gluten, wheat & dairy free, and vegan. Excellent overall!
Seems to be very effective.
This works. I would advise anyone that has not had the shingles shot to take 3000 mgs a day as it works and is much safer than the shot.
